According to overnight figures, A Touch of Frost got 9.5 million while Corrie had 9.4 million.

And I bet the press are making a meal out of this. Its only 100,000 difference anyway. And like you have said yourself Patsy how do we know that only 2 million in total are watching any of them?

Press haven't even mentioned it as far as I know. Figures only came out today. Only thing on Teletext is about David Attenborough's whatsit at the same time. That's right. 20 million could have watched Frost in reality and 2 million Corrie. Patsy

It was on media guardian but I bet the press will say Corrie is in crisis or something just because something beat it in the ratings.
Or the other way around. Corrie could have 20 million!

How do they know that lots of people didn't tape Frost to watch the following day 'cos it went on too late? Does that register as a 'viewer' if only the video is picking up the signal - and there are no live people in the room?

My dad taped it. They're meant to include videos in some sort of figure.

I tape loads of stuff to watch at a later date. God knows what I am going to do when they ditch analogue. As we have both Digital and Terrestrial.
