...and I don`t just mean Vernon ;D Who cleans the Rovers? I can`t imagine Liz putting on her Marigolds and getting a mop to clean the floors and toilets somehow. And Vernon is so bone idle the only thing he cleans is his plate at dinnertime. What Corrie needs is a cleaner. Not a clone of Hilda Ogden, but someone like her who needs a part time job who`s not afraid to get their hands dirty. There`s a few businesses in the street that could use a cleaner....Underworld, Street Cars to name 2. There hasn`t been a cleaner in the street since Harry Flagg left. I`d offer my services to clean if I could!!! ;D

Must be Michelle. After all, she is the latest scrubber to work there. Patsy

They should get Hilda back to do it, she was the best cleaner ever. Notice they have never had a long term cleaner there since she left. They had Vera's mother who lasted all of 5 minutes, and then Sandra Stubbs and Joyce (Judy's mum) and Vera did it for a while but no-one long term.
I guess its part of the barmaid's job to clean the bar. I know when I worked in a restaurant as a waiter we had to clean the toilets and stuff.

Remember that miserable old cow Edna who used to do the cleaning when Duggie Ferguson had the pub? She always had a black cloud over her head, but one day she 'scrubbed up' and did a shift behind the bar being 'chirpy'.
Shortly afterwards, I think, she unexpectedly dropped dead.

Yes She predicted a death and it turned out to be hers. LOL paul! Yes. Also I don't think Steve would like the smell of bleach on his date as he's getting a bit frisky. Oh well. Back to the original scrubber then - his mother! Patsy

Never understood why Harry Flagg left. He had a bit of a thing going with Big Eileen, as I recall, and had this mad idea that he wanted to use all of his life savings to travel the globe in a devil-may-care fashion and take Eileen along, but she bottled out and Harry had to go it alone. Of necessity, I suppose - since they wanted to keep the Eileen character in the show, but a shame for Eileen, as she and Harry seemed to go well together. Perhaps Harry could return - having sated his wanderlust - to sweep Big Eileen off her feet. Mind you, he'll have had to have worked out.
