Am I alone in finding this the most tediously played out plotline for donkey's years? I suppose it's partly Kate Ford's leaden delivery, and it may also be knowing in advance what's going to happen (though you'd have to be Wayne Rooney on Temazepam to miss the umpteen telegraphed signals of what's to come), but this is one giant yawn, I'm afraid. Why isn't Charlie more suspicious? He seemed to be onto her the other night, but immediately fell for a further bout of pathetic simpering plus the chance of a legover. Just get on with it and brain him, will you? By the way, is it scheduled for Xmas day?

Well personally im enjoying this storyline but that could be because im a fan of Kate Ford and Tracy! I love the way she is making Claire think that Charlie is abusing her - I cant help feeling it serves him right for what he did to Shelly. The lengths she is going to to make people think he is abusing her i.e. deliberately burning herself with an iron it obviously means everything to her to get him banged up.
I guess we have to expect this storyline to take a few months as these things cant happen over night.

I think Kate Ford has been good during this storyline - she is more convincing at Tracy acting if you know what I mean!

At the risk of getting bawled out, I still don't understand the anti-Kate Ford stuff. It seems (almost) personal to me. I agree that she's not the best actor in Corrie, but then neither are approximately 50% of the cast. (Some, in fact, I would say are considerably worse than her).
And yes, I agree she gets too much airtime compared to others, but is it all really such a big deal? There's always plenty of other stuff to watch in Corrie, and, like Jez, I'm actually enjoying Tracy's battle of wits with Charlie at the moment.

LOL! Oh it will be enjoy, Jez. Believe me. It may even get better without her in it. I say may. LOL!
blackcatz, there are several reasons.
1) the way she was cast. Dawn Acton was asked if she'd like to go back at Tracy then she was told she had to audition. Daran Little held those auditions and cast KF saying she was "the best". If she was the best, what was the worst like?
2) Tracy Barlow Exposed aka The Kate Ford Propaganda Show. If you're doing a programme about a character you should at least include the previous people playing the part. But no. On the show (which I didn't see thankfully but others did) Daran and Kieran Roberts were saying she was the best thing since DVDs.
3) The way Corrie became The Kate Ford Show. No one has EVER had as much airtime during their first year as her. She constantly was part of Christmas Day storylines.
4) She just can't act.

Ive had to put up with a lot of people slagging Kate Ford off for 3 years so im used to it now! LOL!
I agree she might not be the best but she is far from the worst actress ive ever seen.
Its true she has been part of the Christmas storylines ever year since 2002 - but the first year was her arrival so not too important a part in the episode. 2003 was her telling Steve about the baby, 2004 was Karen V Tracy and last year she was in it but didnt have a major storyline I dont think. She is a popular character so thats why she gets so much coverage.

She was only 'popular' because Kieran and Daran rammed her down people's throats. Since Steve Frost took over she's been sidelined. Up until this exit storyline she hadn't done much even before her contract wasn't renewed. But she was never popular per se. As you know, most people who like her are pervs. The normal people like you are in a minority. Once she's gone then what? Those 'fans' will go onto the next one who gets her kit off.

Wendy Jane Walker IMO as worse than her. |
