Im loving all the past characters that have been mentioned in this storyline. So far we have had Ivy, Hilda Ogden, Dulcie Froggat, Vince SinClair, and last night Susie Birchall!

I hope they mention Elsie, Annie and Ena. Most likely out of those 3 would be Elsie as Ivy worked with her and they were friendly on and off.

Thing is though, Ivy wouldn't have known a lot of stuff. There's that bit in the spoilers about David which she never knew.

Someone on another forum said they saw a clip with Gail telling Ivy but I dont recall this - and ive seen it twice on ITV and Granada Plus! Even if Ivy wasnt told on screen there is nothing to suggest she couldnt have found out things though - just like Reet and Mike never got together on screen!

As Ivy was a staunch Catholic, even considering an abortion would be the last thing Gail would tell her. Ivy was against her relationship with Martin from the start so that is also another reason not to tell her.
Ha, ha.

Yes but the truth often comes out in soaps!

Does it? How many people get away with lying?

True, but the truth often does come out as well - like affairs for example, the injured party usually finds out.
Well they are obviously just using this thing with Ivy as a vehicle for the next chapter of the David/Gail storyline, plus its some good comedy for Sawphie/Vera and several others. quite a clever storyline really.

Oh that's just for ratings the way they plug confrontation.
How come no one noticed her diary before then? Is it only one diary?

Yes one diary. Must have been the diary for 1990 or 1991. Unless it was just a scrap book she wrote things in and she had it for years.
They only just found it as Chesney and Sawfie were in the loft at Number 5 because Les was going to do the loft out as a bedroom for Chesney.

It would be 1990. I had a Czech friend at the time and her first child was born on Christmas Day as well. I remember telling her when she phoned to tell me that Zuzana's birthday would be easy to remember because of the Corrie births. LOL!

I thought they were some good scenes when David caused chaos at the Plattsters Christmas dinner, and I felt vey sorry for Gail but not for Audrey, the silly randy old trout.
I hope Maureen sticks around a while, but I don't suppose she'll have much reason to now. Audrey will be stoned in the street when word gets out that Bill's wife caught her with him - especially by Bev.
