Paul....thanks so much for mentioning this gem. It was a joy from start to finish. I especially loved the Bernie Inn scene. More like this please Victoria Wood.

I also loved Downton Abbey Christmas special. Although it wasn`t really a surprise to see Bates at the end of the episode. I was rather expecting it. I`m surprised Cora didn`t buy Robert a puppy for Christmas to help him get over the death of Isis. If she had bought him a puppy, I wonder what Robert would have named him/her? Al Qaeda, or Boca Horom perhaps?

I have a sick feeling sooty that Knobert will be the reason Katie leaves Emmerdale. Whether it`s an accidental death or intentional, i`m sure Knobert will have his evil hand in it somewhere. So I got to thinking the other night. What`s the betting Bernice will be there comforting Andy the first chance she gets. She is seriously moving into bunny boiler territory.

I can`t stand Callum either sooty. He`s a Ross Barton from Emmerdale Mk 2, and I can`t stand him either.

I still laugh at someone at Ds calling her Moirag And while we`re on the subject of nicknames, I crowned Robert Knobert for obvious reasons

It would certainly explain Emmas lengthy exit if she gets sent down. I didn`t know about Nicola though. Congratulations to both

I couldn`t agree more sooty. And going by the spoilers it doesn`t look like it will improve either. EE will win the ratings war hands down. And rightly so - and I don`t even watch EE anymore. I`ll give Corrie a miss Christmas Day. I never thought I`d ever say that in a million years - and it`s all because of Blackburn. He turned a perfectly good soap into a ratings loser. I hope he gets his P45 on Christmas Day. He deserves nothing less.

Phew! I thought with the headline that she`s coming back to Corrie. Having a baby could be the making of her. Maybe finally she will grow up.

Can`t wait for Christmas Day telly The Americans are just so hyped up for DA January 5th on PBS Pats. Even though they`ve had a long wait for it, at least they won`t have to wait as long as we have for the Christmas special. Can`t wait for Call the Midwife either. I`ve missed that so much. Ditto with Mr Selfridge. As for Corrie on Christmas Day.....meh. I might watch Emmerdale though and possibly EE while I`m scarfing on my Terrys Chocolate Orange

How very predictable that Gail took an instant dislike to Erica that friend of Liz`s, and immediately started throwing her weight around in the Bistro like she was the one that owned it. I don`t think there has been one girlfriend or acquaintance of Nick`s that Gail has liked. It`s as if she is acting more like a scorned ex girlfriend of Nick`s rather than his Mother. Even Ivy wasn`t that bad. It`s embarrassing to watch I have to admit.

I`m still fuming that Blackburn didn`t acknowledge Corries 54th Birthday with an episode.... or even a Corrie special to mark the occasion. All he`s banging on about is a Corrie live episode for ITV`s 60th anniversary next year. Worst.producer.Ever... and I lived through the Jane McNaught years.

The ratings decline is all Stuart Blackburns fault. Hopefully this will be the end of the worst producer in Corrie history.

I`m guessing it will be a dream sequence. It could be like a Vera and Jack Duckworth exit for Harold Bishop. Although I hope they don`t do it for the 30th as it will be so sad.
