I think this is more likely to be husbands cupmof tea than mine.
They have some pretty good stuff on Five these days. I've just got hooked on 'Killer Instinct' and the new 'Medical Investigation' is good.

Its a drama set in a prison where this guy (played by Wentworth Miller) gets arrested so he can be sent to prison to save his brother who is on death row. He has a plan so they can escape.
Its been a huge hit in America.

I started to watch it but had so many distractions here. In the end I turned over to Close To Home - a new series started that very same time on Living and not to be confused with the British sitcom of the same name from the 1980s. Then I remembered Living has a plus an hour channel so turned it off and turned that back on at 11.
I really enjoyed Close To Home about a US prosecutor who has just gone back to work after maternity leave. The first episode was about a woman who had appeared to try and murder her children by setting fire to the house but there were lots of twists.
I think next week if I can watch Close to Home at 11 on Living Plus an hour I'll try Prison Break at 10, however if not then it is Close To Home at 10 for me going on what little I saw of Prison Break. Prison reak got a bad review in the Radio Times, however that doesn't really mean anything.

That's sort of where I was at Nick. But thought it was because I was being distracted. Oh well I'll stick to Close To Home I think?

I think it will take a while to get into. I gave up on lost a few weeks in but want to stick with this as it has potential.

They've got a big advertising campauign here for that. You can win a trip to Alcatraz and take any one of the Perth radio DJs of your choice of something. I haven't paid that much attention. Starts next week I think.

It's on here. Started this week and they're repeating the first episode Monday. Big advertising campaign and today it said 2 million Australians watched which is pretty bad for a country with 20 million people.

Thanks for that Jez, my husband was regretting he had missed them.........now he can video themt.
I do think it's a shame that they don't repeat programmes such as this, maybe in the middle of the night. ( So you can video them ) to watch at your leisure. ;D ;D

I agree sooty - they dont repeat stuff much on FIVE. However if its shown on E4 there is usually about 5 chances to see it when you count E4 + 1 .

That should change when Five.2 and Five.3 are launched later this year. They are the E4 and ITV2 etc. of Five.

Yes and we will get endless repeats of their programmes. However they might bring the Home and Away omnibus back which is good.

Im not sure extra channels is such a good idea - look at ITV2 - 90% of what they show on it is crap.

I don't mind so much if the repeat the good stuff. I bet they wish they hadn't dumped Family Affairs now
