I didn't see the Ethel one but I'm all for euthanasia as long as it's what the person wants. You do have a point. Murder is murder in Dot's mind and that was murder. Wonder what she thinks of an eye for an eye? Would she object to Jim smothering her with the pillow?
LOL! I'm surprised he didn't have a heart attack when he saw that bill for just 3 drinks. Was a leg over included or extra?

I sympathised with Jim. It really is aggravating when they come here illegally and get benefits and free treatment while waiting to be told if they'll be deported while the rest of us go without. They break the law and don't arrive through the proper channels there should be no question of immediate deportation as soon as they're caught. Dot went doolally again and he was caught between a rock and a hard place. They can't keep Tomas surely.
Loved Mo thinking she was being haunted for being a cow to Garry. ROTF!
Poor Garry. But we don't know Hazel's history yet and what made him resent her the way he does. Hope it's a good one.

Has there been any mention of little Tomas's father? Did Anya arrive in the country pregnant or did she get knocked up by a client at the club? Maybe he will turn up and look for the baby.
If May wasn't so mental recently maybe Dot could hand over Tomas to her - she desperately wants a baby, but is probably unfit to look after one at the moment.
How insensitive of Minty to flirt with his best mate's mum! He might be desperate - but that's overstepping the unspoken boundary. I hope she's an interesting character and not just another Shirley.

Not that I remember.
You know I was thinking May could end up with Tomas in the end after reading the latest spoilers.
Minty and Hazel are as desperate as each other in my book.

I felt sorry for Jay and Bert, too - I hope Jay's dad doesn't turn up, he sounds like a waste of space.
Fed up with Hazel already - get lost you raddled old tart.
Looks like Peggy will interfere and bully Phil into a big wedding for Stella. He's a bigger mummy's boy than Garry these days - what happened to Big Phil Mitchell who ran the manor?

I did too. Jay showed some emotion but kept it hidden. I wasn't too keen on the last scene. The dialogue seemed desperate.
I loved it when Garry was moaning to Phil about how his mum never shuts up and he was doing the same thing.
That's obvious the way she took the bridal mag. Stella's manipulating the lot of them!

I don't know which is worse - the thought of Pat in lycra or a cossie! Bert sounds drunk. Maybe too many painkillers. Hazel's gone but it's only au revoir. I did like Minty hitting Garry. So now we know something of why Garry resents his mother. Don't blame him really. Stella looked nice in the wedding dress but she probably won't get the the altar. Kevin and Denise were quite funny. All those sweet insults he came out with. LOL! Patsy

If Denise and Kevin ever get married are they going to get their own place like grown ups? A married couple of their age living with an in-law is a bit childish - Pat should kick them out and then they'll see if they get on or not. Personally I don't think they should get married on the day Jimbo died - every wedding anniversary would be a sad day for Kevin, and a day of guilt for Denise, so just scrap it and find another date.
For god's sake Bert - go to hospital, stop being such a wuss.
Hazel is a pain in the ass, but not malicious. No wonder Garry grew up so laddish and fearing comittment - he learnt it from her.
Doesn't Stella have her own mother, or even female friends to cluck about wedding dresses and the suchlike? Peggy shouldn't be doing this stuff - and how come she hasn't noticed Phil's non-jumping-for-joy attitude to the whole thing? She must be really deperate acquire someone posh into the family if she's going to push Phil into marrying someone when he's obviously less than keen.

Nah. Where would the fun in that be? I do agree about the date but with him confessing next week (I assume) about him and Shirley maybe it won't go ahead.
Stella's never satisfied no matter what Phil does. Maybe her mother doesn't talk to her because she's a loony.

Tonight's was a bit pointless, wasn't it? The best parts were evil Stella and Ben. No wonder he's covering up - he's got all those bruises!

Friday night's ep was excellent - no wastage. Better than the previous night's male bonding/chest beating in the pub.
I felt so sorry for Ben when Phil was explaining how he had to put up with it, without realising Ben's real concern. I even felt sorry for Phil because he obviously adores Ben.
Poor Libby - at least she's got a crush on someone who won't deliberately hurt her. Gus won't take advantage like some young blokes would. And Dean was really horrible to her, too. All part of growing up.
Kevin still slept with Shirley whether he marries Denise or not - that fact won't go away, and neither will Shirley. If Denise finds out after the wedding she'll probably chuck Kevin out, so he can't win. He's a damn fool, with his brain in his pants.

Sarah Phelps wrote a brilliant script on Thursday. It doesn't all have to be shouting and carrying on. We got to know the characters of Phil, Max and Kevin, where they all are now. I thought it was excellent.

Thursday's pub scenes with Phil, Kevin and Max were tedious. Why write in a thunderstorm to force them to stay in the pub philosophising? Two grown men avoiding walking 2 minutes in the rain is no excuse for them to stay in the pub for ages - and everyone else went home safely enough.
It wasn't realistic - the three of them aren't good enough mates to open up to each other like that.
Stella's continued abuse of Ben was so well done, it's frightening. They have to stop this nutter soon - they've made their point, now she should be punished. They can't keep this going for months or years (like real-life abuse). It's irresponsible: children watching who might be in Ben's situation need to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel for Ben, and that Stella will be well and truly busted sometime soon.

No it won't and that smirk on her face at the end on Friday said it all.
You could tell Ben got the wrong end of the stick with Phil's facts of life talk. But Phil thinks he's understood. Uh oh.
I agree with Pearly. No one else stayed to avoid being struck by lightning. Quick run home. They also went through topic after topic without acttually debating anything. It was like "What can I think of to mention now?" in the writing process. The stuff about the kids seemed stagey. It didn't come across natural at all. Stella and Ben are the only thing which stopped me switching off.

I bet poor Bradley gets stuck looking after Tomas/George - that would have been the point of having him babysit Janet the other week. Now he is an expert on babies it's bound to figure at some point in the future. This is a bit like the Holly/Chloe being dumped on Eileen storyline over in Corrie. Do they have ANY paperwork for Tomas? He'll need check ups and injections and so on - Dot and Jim will need paperwork if they're going to pass him off as a grandchild.
Don't give a dam about Mickey and or Li - all this means is that Gus will be peed off with them, and have to throw them out. Why does everyone always take advantage of poor Gus?

I thoughty that too.
even if he can be a bit pointless Gus is a great character. I wish they'd give him a storyline. People like Li really annoy me, taking advantage of him.

Quite boring tonight, except for Pat's fight with Shirley which was nearly convincing. The cops got there quickly! They're not so efficient in real life!
Max still really hates Jim - he must hace been a really bad father for Max to hold the grudge for all this time. I wouldn't trust Jim with a baby - not because he's old and tired, but because he's lazy, selfish and irresponsible.
The Wox/Ficks wedding drama is so boring now. A wedding on the worse day of the year possible and everyone at each others' throats? Why are weddings so often a disaster in soaps? Nobody is allowed to be happy.

Denise looked fantastic in her wedding outfit - shame Kevin's going to spoil it all with his big confession.
Why does Stella want to get Phil alone in Sarfend? So she can convince him to stuff Ben into a sack with a couple of large rocks and drop him in the Thames? I doubt Phil will go for it.
Why don't Pat and Shirley move in together? They're like slaggy sisters.

Quite boring episode - though I quite liked Ian's remark to Phil having a dig about his lack of hair. Talking of hair - Billy and Honey both seem to be using the same chestnutty coloured hair dye.
I felt a bit sorry for Preeti - she is irritating and cloying, but Bradley should not have used her in that way. He obviously only wanted her for sex, but she'll think they're serious now. Oh hurry up and find out about Stacey and Max and get it over with. Those two are so annoying now.

I have to catch up with last week's omni. So what happened after the confession? Patsy Denise was understandable not happy - then she met Shirley in the bogs and they had a big row. Then Denise flounced off to marry Kevin, just to spite Shirley, but not after administering a swift knee in her fiance's direction. I bet he didn't enjoy his wedding night very much!! They don't appaear to have gone on honeymoon - hanging out in the Vic seems to be a big enough treat for the newlyweds.

LOL! Don't blame her. But as with usual in soaps, she didn't want anything to do with him when he slept with Shirley.
