I watched some of the live eps on iplayer, and tonight's live ep. It seems you can't get subtitles on catch-up tv, and they're out of synch on live broadcasts. Therefore I missed a lot of dialogue. I'm still suffering from a seemingly never ending ENT infection, and I'm still deaf in one ear. I don't dare crank up the volume on my telly any more than it is - so subtitles are essential to get what's happening. Anyway - despite the sensory deprivation I did absorb a lot. There were a lot of people I didn't recognise either because they're new, or the actors have changed. A heck of a lot for Ian to take in! Nick's dead and Dot's in trouble, and Bobby killed Lucy and Jane covered it up. Never mind the Kaffy stuff still to come. Talk about emotional overload. And Jane carted a corpse about, on her own, in a city rammed full of CCTV and nobody saw? Unlikely. It's because of that sort of thing that I stopped watching. And I do find it hard to believe that a tiny little nipper like Bobby could bludgeon a hardnut like Lucy to death. And his own sister? No matter how annoying she was - would he lose it that bad? Another innocent child character ruined. It's like Ben - he was a drippy speccy little squirt who lashed out and killed Heff. Now he's a nutter forever. Long term this is going to affect everyone forever. Anyway - I don't really care who killed Lucy, the only reason I looked in was to see how they would handle Kaffy's return. Another emotional bomb for Ian. Hasn't he had enough? Not to mention Dot, Ben, Phil, Sharon - the others who thought she was dead and will have to come to terms with the news. Especially Sharon - she's been there before with Den. Not sure if I'm tempted to watch any more after tonight. Too much has changed and moved on, but at the same time it's same old, same old.

I got subtitles up earlier on iPlayer because I wasn't sure whether Jane said "Imagine you and me that night" or "Imagine you were me that night". Subtitles said the former but I'm sure she said the latter. It's hard to tell since she mumbled it. It's the S next to the running time.
Sharon's now married to the Bald Egg so deffo won't be happy when Kaffy comes back. Sharon was second choice because Shirley refused to accept Ben when he returned and Sharon did. He doesn't love Sharon though and was going to dump her at the altar for Shirley until she accepted Ben. I can imagine a big row over Ben between baldy and Kaff leading to a shag.
Lucy already had several head injuries and not just the night she died. She'd hit her head in Max's portakabin a few days before, which Abi helped clean up after she'd been found dead. It probably wouldn't have taken much for Bobby to cause the fatal blow.

Oh I see, so it was an accumulation of events that lead to Lucy's death. Even so the normal reaction among normal people would be to call an ambulance and get their story straight while waiting for it to arrive; in Albert Square it seems you deal with it yourself. Like when Stacey and the others found Nick they didn't call the cops they decided to make a plan.

I thought agreeing to cover for Bobby was a bit repetitive of the Nick/Dot bit, including having a naysayer. However, Peter was a hypocrite to some extent. He didn't tell his friends parents how said friend died and also claimed to Ian he knew nothing about Lucy's drugs until her phone was found and Ian saw the text when he'd been supplying her. It will come out at some point but I have a feeling Lucy wasn't dead and Jane either delivered that killer blow or left her in the woods to die, which will be the exit story when Laurie leaves again. Lucy was responsible for Jane being unable to have children in a roundabout way and had an abortion after agreeing to let Jane be the mother so she would do everything she could to keep the one she adopted.

Phew! So your theory could be that Lucy got into the car while dazed, and Jane said she'd take her to a hospital but instead she chucked her out in a deserted spot and finished her off? And let poor little Bobby think HE was responsible? Pretty f*@cked up!! I'd forgotten about Jane's shooting. So she may have been harbouring feelings of revenge all this time. It seems that NOBODY can remain nice in albert Square for any length of time.

Wouldn't be surprised or there were words at home with Lucy saying she'll get Bobby for the bonk on the head. There's far more to it. She has become practically neurotic over Bobby since her first return last year. IIRC she wasn't even going to let him go to the funeral despite her confession that she convinced him he didn't hurt her. It was Christian who persuaded her after she ran to him and Syed's house following the Ian shag and Christian lied to him about her being there. If Lucy was dead why would she even consider hospital and shove her in the boot? Why not put her in the passenger seat? She could have polished her off after tucking Bobby back in bed. Thinking about it, I don't believe she carried her "like Bobby when putting him to bed". I think she had help. There was also a blanket underneath the body for some reason when Jane arrived, which had been behind Lucy on the sofa. Continuity error or clue? Either way it can be her exit. LOL!

She was partly axed in 2012 but made occasional appearances. She did return and was sort of living in the house which blew up (Mo's cans of dodgy hairspray left in the hall seem to have been forgotten) but has been seen rarely since.

Kaffy in a caff! Not Kaffy's Kaff though. She's got to be back soon and interestingly it looks like she's scared of Gavin.

Linda Henry is a great actress but Shirley's a screwed up nutjob. Typically people are criticising the Cystic Fibrosis Trust for helping by saying it's unrealistic because it's rare in Muslims. That's the point. RARE but happens. But as both parents need to be carriers surely that means Kevin rather tha Buster is actually Dean's dad. Cystic Fibrosis is something there is much ignorance about so it's good they're covering it despite the fact it'll be forgotten a few weeks after the story's concluded like every issue. 31 years ago the boy in the next hospital bad had that. I'd hear then hitting his back the other side of the curtains to remove phlegm but knew nothing about the illness. He seemed fine to me apart from that and even went home before I did. It never occured to me he could die young and I expect he did. It's obvious there won't be a happy ending in this storyline but after immediately running away when she found out about Jade, it's good to see Shirley step up to the mark at last. She may turn out to be a better person after this.

Marsden is back to annoy Baldy! So who is the suspect in Lucy's death? Ben?

Loving EE right now with the resurrection of the Lucy case. Fantastic scenes yet again between Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt. It'll all kick off when Kaffy's back. It looks like Baldy's going to drop Benny Elliott in it!

So the bald egg DOES have a heart. He'd have had to be a bigger shit than usual to let Kaffy continue to suffer after just a door separated her and Ben.
And now Jane's fessed up to Shazza that Bobby smashed Lucy.
Les is still hiding something. Probably his love of ladies silk frillies.

Not entirely sure. It's pretty ambiguous. He was in the boot of a car. Ronnie Mitchell paid people to get the driver of it, meaning Vincent. Somehow Fatboy was got instead. Vincent thought his mum was in the car but it turned out she sent Fatboy to do her errand instead, possibly deliberately to reignite the Hubbard/Mitchell war she was obsessed with and Vincent wanted nothing to do with anymore. Fatboy had a fear of confined spaces due to his mum locking him in a cupboard when he was young. The car went to the scrapyard but according to Ronnie wasn't supposed to. She was shocked to find it gone. It was picked up and swung towards the crusher but Vincent hit the bloke and stopped it. When he opened the boot Fatboy was dead. Could be suffocation from a gag, major panic attack or the claw went through when it picked up the car. Vincent obviously finished the job to hide the evidence.
