I haven't seen Monday's soaps yet, I'll try and watch the recording this morning.

Yeah - what a let down: OK so it's a big deal for Carly and Deano but not worth the build-up they've been giving it for weeks. Why didn't Shirley say something sooner? She has no reason to protect Kevin, after all. And Carly and Deano are GROWN UPS - THEY CAN DEAL WITH THIS NEWS, THEY'RE NOT SCARED LITTLE KIDS. Carly has already left home and got married (alright, it didn't work because the husband was a gorilla), but she's not a little kid, and Jimbo and Deano are not her sons. Nor are they Kevin's, as we all worked out weeks ago.
Time for Shirley's version of events - but you can bet she'll wind up looking the villain of the piece, since Kevin is more skilled with words than she is.
Didn't understand Pauline's will. How can Martin own the whole house, yet some of it is owned by Michelle, Vicki and Rebecca? Maybe I misheard. Sonia Jackson was named as the person Martin cannot have a relationship with - can't they get round it by saying that she's calling herself Jackson-Fowler or something?

I think it was a life insurance policy or something which was split between them. Martin got the other half of the house.
I think this about Kevin not being their dad is ridiculous. My dad pointed out we'd just had one with Patrick and Denise. The way they've built it up it really should have been something more like he used to beat them as kids or something in drunken rages. So what was all that earlier about Jimbo being 'our first born'? Was he meant to be his dad or not? Daft and I don't care.

Highly charged emotional episode tonight. So Shirley was a right slut during the marriage then. Well it makes the daft storyline a little more tolerable. Deano was crap drunk in the shed. Good the other times though. I just hope no one drops a match in the portakabin!
Poor Martin. You can't help feeling sorry for him.
Did I see horns on Ben's head when he waved Stella goodbye? LOL!

Quite good all round.
Even Rob and Yawn were unintentionally entertaining, when May nearly caught them on the job. As a professional medic you'd think her offer to examine Dawn would lead her to the conclusion that Dawn's sweating, high blood pressure and heavy breathing were more to do with sexual arousal than a problem with the Foetus For Sale.
That little git Ben finally started a sort of fire after it was mentioned in the Spoilers nearly a year ago. Yes, he now has horns - red tail and fork soon to come. Very nice touch when straight after the burning chicken scene in the Vic's kitchen they cut straight to Pauline's ashes being delivered to Martin's door.
I hope Sonia's announcement that she's leaving doesn't mean she creeps off with her tail between her legs, and rather that she agrees to go with Martin and Rebecca for a new start.
I felt quite sorry for all the Wicks - what a bloody mess! And I don't just mean the Portakabin - which would probably have caught fire anyway when the fumes were ignited, it was unrealistic for Deano to be clicking that lighter and get away with it.

I'm sure at one point I saw the flame went out on the lighter then the next minute it was full flow again. It was obviously some sort of soft pink drink not to go up. LOL!
I don't know why people say EE is depressing. Okay so there wasn't much humour last bight but the drama itself was so well written and acted it was far from miserable. My dad said to my mum how great last night's was.
As this is all May's idea (according to next week's TV mags) I don't think she's all that bothered at the moment as long as she gets that baby, which we all know she won't.
I hope Martin and Sonia go off together. Pauline was evil.

Maybe her long term plan is to adopt the baby, then divorce Rob for adultery and then run away with the baby, leaving Rob and Dawn to breed like rabbits.

Yawn and Rob we can skip.
Poor Martin and Sonia. Excellent speech by Jim and they all showed it was emotional. They're bound to go off together tomorrow.
Poor Kevin too. He was trying too hard to act like nothing had happened. I felt so sorry for him when Carly let rip. You can understand her feelings after having the life she'd known all those years turned upside down.
Then there's little Ben, devil and fire-starter. Nice he actually said he hated 'Smella' instead of just moodily sulking.

LOL! My dad enjoyed it so much he watched the repeat on BBC3. He loved little Rebecca's smiling face between Martin and Sonia when they kissed. We both expected Martin and Rebecca to be in the taxi waiting.
Loved Carly whacking Shirley. I cheered.
Yawn and Rob. Don't need to say anything really.

I don't understand why Pat hates Shirley so much, probably because she reminds her of herself when she was younger. Pat was a dreadful mother. We didn't see it, but we heard all about her screwing around with various men while her boys were in alone. She was definitely on the game at some point, too. She hardly the person to point the finger at a woman of loose morals. When Shirley was trying to seduce Phil in the kitchen - I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Imagine what a baby would look like born of those two?
I'm not surprised that Kevin's taken off. When he first arrived (it was about this time last year, I remember 'cos I was in a hotel in Huddersfield - don't ask!) Kevin was on his way to see the world: he'd sold his house, and the kids were gone - Carly had got married and Dean had run away to live with auntie Pat, so he thought he'd take off. We can see why now. His OWN child had died, and the other two were no longer his responsibilty so he was free to roam. Same now - he could clear off, Denise would soon forget him and Carly and Deano would get over it. So call off the search, guys.
Good luck to Martin, Sonia and Rebecca - lets hope there are plenty of job vacancies for fruit and veg mongers and drunk nurses in Manchester.
Rob and Yawn - what did she mean 'bleed his wife dry'? They've got really bad debts, apparently, and it would be Rob's own money anyway.

I don't know about anyone else but until the trumpet was mentioned in the BBC3 programme I never saw it.
LOL! I laughed when Phil gave her the brush off. Nice to know not even he's that desperate.
Maybe that's why Pat hates her so much. She sees herself in Shirley as you say so perhaps she's trying to make up for her own mistakes.
I had to explain about Kevin to my dad. He loved Deano and Carly but did have a point when he said he didn't want to be saddled with two kids. Shirley did the dirty on him twice then walked out. I'm surprised he didn't go at the time, taking Jimbo with him. Like mother, like daughter. I cannot believe Carly is letting everyone believe his leaving is down to Shirley rather than what she said.
Apparently too this is all May's idea to keep Dawn onside and make sure she has the baby. Who cares?

Very happy one! LOL! Bert doesn't seem to be missing his old mucker Joe. Has he even had his funeral? Carly's really losing it. Her own fault. Dot is very lonely now Sonia, Martin and Rebecca have gone. Poor thing. Yawn and Rob - do we care? ? Patsy

Pat's earrings were particularly WILD tonight - how could any man resist? No wonder Bert is starting to take an interest in her! Shame the grandson in the works might spoil his plans.
May is being a complete cow - OK, so she's the 'wronged wife' but a doctor BUYING a baby off a patient? She should be keeping a low profile not showing off in front of Dawn. No wonder Dawn told the world why she's getting so humungously fat.
Will Phil let Carly away with smashing up his mate's car? He let Martin get away with snatching Ben - maybe Phil's gone soft in his old age.
I hope Dot's ominous lonliness doesn't mean a return of the gruesome Nick - that would be too much to bear.

I doubt it. He was to blame to Martin going off the rails by helping Sonia in the first place. Nothing to do with Kev's escape. Kev will be back though. Still got a contract. LOL!
They couldn't be that desperate, could they?

What is the shocking secret that Darren has in his room? And how unpleasant of Libby to blackmail him into being her friend. It's obvious he has no interest in her - she should leave him alone.
Dean has made a fast recovery from his broken ribs and punctured lung - they are made of tough stuff in the East End.
So Bert is staying with the Truemans - although it's not a B&B any more they must have plenty of spare rooms, about time someone at EE remembered this fact instead of cramming huge families into much smaller properties.
Peggy's hair was a right scruffy mess when she emerged from Tanya's salon, and Chelsea was a cow to Dawn - didn't she throw herself at the married Grant Mitchell?
If all Shirley's going to do to win her kids back is spend time in the pub then it will get very boring. All she does is booze and flirt - it's repetitive.

Booze, flirt and look scary. She can give Stella lessons. Maybe there was a load of women's undies in Darren's room. Patsy

I wish May would go back to advertising Vick's First Defence having tantrums in the supermarket than suffer this! What's the betting when the sprog's born she takes it and disappears?
Where did Darran get all that stuff from?
Oh Preeti, just snog Mickey and be done with it!
So Stella's back on the scene and demon child is sulking. Roll on the future!
High time Carly confessed to what she'd done. Anyone know when Kevin's back?
