It`s the writers fault really though innit...not the actors. And it`s not as if Reet gets paid by the episode either.

They do. That was meant to be their new contracts a few years ago when they last moaned about losing money. So instead of being paid for not being in an ep, they would get paid when they were. They always moan but never do anything about it like strike or quit. Too cushy to quit and return to the big, wide world of unemployment.
The writers are to blame but if certain cast members say, "I only want to do bog all because I'm getting old so give us a couple of lines and I'll take the cash" then what can they do. Reet for instance has become a joke in the past few years because of the lack of things she does. And when they have her do anything 9/10 it's stupid. So that's also Barbara's fault. Will anyone really miss Mike? No. Would have 5 years ago. Not now seeing as he's done bugger all since Linda.

Its only right they should get paid for the amount of eps they do. Its not fair that Barbara gets paid more than Bill as she does less work and has been in it for a less number of years.
