Im not surprised, I said the other day Corrie didnt stand a chance at winning because people always vote for EE for some reason. These awards are a shambles.
Corrie got over 11 million viewers for one of their episodes last night so we all know which soap is truly the most popular.

Is it though? I haven't seen who won what (was asleep) but with only 5000 boxes to go by how they still judge? We've been through this before. They should have a proper ratings system where everyone is judged. For all we know people could just be leaving it on rather than get up to switch on between programmes for a lot of things. Maybe in reality only 2 million watch the soaps.

It was obviously the kids that voted, and those without a pc probably used the schools pc or told their mates to vote for EE. It`s the only explanation.
Bradley best newcomer? Come on!!! Now I know they`re taking the pi$$. Amber from Corrie should have won. If Sophie had been nominated though.....I`d have voted for her. She is such a terrific actress.

She joined within the last year so is eligible.
Had to laugh when they showed the clips for Most Popular Soap - EE looked the most boring. Based on those clips Hollyoaks should have won!

Corrie hasn't been that good this year. The episodes are constantly ruined by Bill Ward and Kate Ford who have dominated most of this year.

Last year was mostly below average for a large part and very poor during the summer, but this year ive really enjoyed it so far.

According to John Savident the producers are told what to do by TPTB so it's no wonder the job's become a poisoned chalice. Also Keiran Roberts is his boss and we know he likes nothing better than sensationalism.

I fear for it's future with Steve Frost at the helm. It will be all sensational storylines or nothing. But people said how good Steve was at Emmerdale and seem to have changed their views now he has taken over at Corrie. I think Corrie has improved so much since Steve took over. |

Seems to me that the media are biased anyway.....you only to have to see the number of times EE characters are on the covers of TV Quick etc compared to other soap characters.

Whats on TV and TV Quick are the worst. I dont think TV Quick has had a Corrie cover since the new look several weeks ago. At least TV Times is fair with covers and often have something which isnt a soap. |

He did. He turned it completely around from the doom, gloom and humourless show it was under Kieran. Kieran repeated the process during his time on Corrie and Steve has a hell of a long way to go this time, especially with Kieran being his boss. He may have had more freedom if someone else was.
