Great show overall and I am very pleased that team cola won.... that may have a bit to do with the outfits Ola was almost wearing ;D
I have likes Chris from the start, his enthusiasm and entertainment factor was infectious, and I am so glad he won ( I didn't like Rikki at all ) even through he was the better dancer.
Lovely to see Jade dance, she would definitely have made the final IMO.
We couldn't believe the size of Lisa Snowdon, what has she been eating.
Now, all they need to do is get rid of Alesha and get Arlene back for next year, and they didn't need Darcey Bussell

I couldn't see the point of Darcy Bussell to be honest..she didn't really add anything to the proceedings
I'm glad Chris won..yes Ricky was the best dancer..but I think Chris was the most entertaining of the 2 and their Charleston was brilliant
And yes,i was dissapointed with the Lindy hop too
and like you say...WAY too much padding...an hour to start with 3 of their dances in and then 30 minutes for the results show with the final dance from each couple would have been sufficient instead of all this heart wrenching 'journey' nonsense from friends and family etc...

...well, without being too unkind, we know what you mean! The way she looked made me think she may have had some sort of hormone treatment, maybe for a medical condition?

The line up is very good this year and already (IMO) there are some outstanding dancers. I think Pamela, Matt and Kara especially.
My favourite has to be 'Widders' she has me in a heap every week. ;D She only got a one from Craig the first week....Has anybody being given a lowly one before ??

Sorry, but I still don't understand why people like 'Widders' are invited onto the show. It's all mildly amusing for the first 5 minutes, but then turns into total farce when it comes to voting, usually at the expense of someone who is a far, far better dancer.
If this is a pure entertainment show, then why not invite Widders and ten others like her?
If it's about dancing, forget it!
For me the best so far are Matt, Kara and Scott.
Kara and Matt looked like professionals from their very first dance.

I like Matt too..he seems to really enjoy anything he does.....he should have been the permanent presenter of 'The One Show' IMHO instead of Jason Manford

Yes,I think the Anne Widdicombe novelty has finished now and she should be the next to go..it would be unfair if better dancers begin to get voted off instead of her like John Sergeant

Really gutted that Tina & Jared were voted off. I think they had the potential to go a lot further in the competition, and they made a really cute couple. ...and now we're left with bloody Widders for yet another week.

The only complaint I have is the handing out of so many 10s. What if they are better next week, you can't mark them any higher !!

I agree Sooty I thought the 10's were to easily earned
I am sorry Tina has gone too..I think she had great potential

Well surprise, surprise!
This show is turning yet again into a complete farce.
I had Jimi (& Flavia) down as the third best of the male celebrity pairings, and no way did he deserve to go this week. He wasn't the best, but he always gave it everything in his performances, and he & Flavia seemed to gel very well.
Bloody disgrace (again), and Ann isn't making matters any better by being so mouthy (how can she possibly believe she's dancing well?) - at least John Sergeant admitted he was crap.
They really have to decide which way they want this show to go and change their choice of celebs in the future.
We don't watch the results show - it's a complete nonsense now, especially as the dance-off has gone (perhaps if it hadn't gone, the judges would have done our jobs for us, and Widders would have been long gone).
Anyhoo - rant over!
Best for me this week? Kara and Matt; Scott disappointing (but I'm sure he'll bounce back).
Unfortunately I think the female side of the competition is already much clearer now, which has rather taken some of the excitement out of it - although Patsy, Felicity and Pamela are all doing a good job, I reckon Tina was the only one who could have given Kara a genuine run for her money in the last few weeks.

It's a pity you didn't watch Sunday night's BC. You missed the sight of Tess looking like a distressed chicken.

Mmm I can't see the point of a results show either if there is no dance off
it's just a load of filling with the dance group and some singer plugging their latest single..the competitors don't actually do anything...they could do all that on saturday night at about 9.30 for 15 minutes.
This Ann business is ridiculous (although in all fairness she never says she is any good)..the problem is that now they have changed the rules and the judges don't make the final decision anymore after a dance off then Ann could actually go on to win which makes a mockery of the whole series

Something very suspicious going on with the scoring!
Pamela Stephenson is doing a great job, but she's not in the same class as Matt, Scott or Kara.
I notice all the judges (finally) said they'd had enough of Widders, but unfortunately this juggernaut just keeps rolling on, thanks to the stupid ****ing members of the public who are determined to screw this show up for all the real dancing fans.

I have a feeling Widders will go this week. Surely the great British public will finally decide it's no longer a joke. I hope Gavin doesn't go because he was so much better this week.
I love watching Kara, Matt and Pamela but I'm not to keen on Scott...don't know why.

Hallelujah!
Common sense prevails at last! (about 5 weeks too late).
Have to say that unless they change the format, this may be my last SCD series.
1) Judges should have the final word, not the The Great Unwashed.
2) Results show should be on Saturday (and preferably without all the padding).
3) Choose celebrities who have an equal chance of winning.

I agree with all your previous comments BC.....whats the point in having judges if they aren't going to make any decisions !!

Thank goodness everyone has seen sense.
Now we can enjoy Strictly for what it should be...a dancing competition.

Wish I felt the same Sooty, but there's definitely some favouritsm going on with the judges. They seem intent on giving Matt and Aliona a hard time on the one hand, and dishing out 10s left, right and centre to Pamela and James on the other.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - Pamela and James are doing a good job, but they're not in the same league as Kara, Matt or Scott.
I think Kara deserves to win it on talent now, closely followed by Matt and then Scott, but I don't really care which of those three it is.
