Ali and Brian sublime this week - well-deserved score.
Bruce totally out of order getting yet another personal dig in at them tho'.
Craig and Flavia should have been in the dance-off; I'm getting just a tad bored with all the attempts to 'get him to Blackpool'. He showed a smidgin of potential at the start of the series, but TBH he hasn't improved, while others have.
Jo definitely deserved to go - her dance was pretty dreadful, tho' she did better in her second attempt.
IMO Jade is going to be there in the last few shows; she genuinely is improving, and certainly didn't deserve to be in the dance-off (too many people clustered together at the top of the scoreboard again).
Though he's got amazing rhythm, I think Ricky Whittle does better at the Ballroom than the Latin, which is quite a surprise.
He & Natalie, together with Ali & Brian, are my favourites for the final now.
Good show all round I thought - the Latin World Champion showdance was stunning.

An enjoyable programme all round, spoilt only by BF. ( just realised what great initials he has ) I also think that Ali and Rikki will get to the final but I do enjoy watching Natalie and Vincent, she enjoys it so much I wouldn't be surprised to see her at the end either. Jo did well lasting so long, but Craig is dredful. I can only imagine his Corrie fan base is keeping him in. I still can't take to James and Zoe though. There are so many likeable ones this year though, Ricky, Phil, Chris, Jade etc.

Strange that, isn't it? I've never been keen on James, but never had any special reason for disliking Zoe - just can't warm to her her somehow. That said, I must admit she's doing very well in the show.

I think my dislike of James started when he partnered Georgina, and the nasty remarks he made about John Sargeant last year just topped it
Zoe I just can't warm to, not sure why.

Well I hope last night was the only 'shock' result we get this series.
What a joke - Craig hadn't improved that much, and should certainly have been in the dance-off, probably alongside Ricky Groves.
Neither Ali or Zoe deserved to be there in any way.
Although I didn't really like them as a couple, I thought Zoe and James probably danced better second time around, but, like the judges I would have saved Ali and Brian, based on previous performances and their future potential. She was obviously suffering from her foot injury and couldn't wear the correct shoes (if, in fact, she was wearing any shoes at all - not sure - she may have been wearing ballet pumps).
Len in one of his 'ratty' moods. He's the Head Judge for crying out loud - he should behave with some dignity, not like a grumpy schoolkid.
Ricky W superb.
Laila much better.
Natalie's jive a bloody good effort.
But overall the show not as good as previous week, and definitely marred by the fiasco at the end.

Yes Craig Kelly and Ricky Groves should have been in the dance off...but I thought out of the 2 couples in the dance off Zoe & james danced better..I felt sorry for Ali having a foot injury
Ricky Groves face is a picture when he is dancing he pulls some comical faces
I didn't know till last week that Craig is the brother of Dean Lennox Kelly who was in Shameless

Here we go again, a clodhopper who has not improved, saved by a misguided fan base to the expense of a good dance duo. No wonder Len was furious. If Craig was so desperate ( reminds you of a X-Factor sob story ) to get to Blackpool....why didn't he catch a ruddy tram ! Craig and Ricky should have been in the dance-off.
I felt so sorry for Ali, she must have been in agony. I am so glad she was voted to stay ( Not being a james/Zoe fan )
I loved Natalie's jive. I think Vincent is so clever bringing out her enthusiasm and energy...it's great to watch.
The only plus in this weeks show was Alesha only managled her was/were once, and Bruce seemed to tone down his personal remarks.

It was the right dancers in the dance off and the right one left...by rights it should be Ricky Groves next week The proffesional dancers did a Viennese Waltz...I was looking forward to proper Strauss music...no such luck

Now the competition can really start.
For me, it's going to be between Ali and Ricky W, with Jade in third place.

Me too - absolutely love her. Wish she'd done the majority of the presenting instead of Tess.
...and didn't miss Brucie in the slightest.
Fair result I thought, tho' could have gone either way. I think the viewers kept Laila in because she's still potentially very good.
Good thing it was Jade who was injured and not one of the weaker dancers. I'm sure she would have got through this week anyway, so the fact that she missed out is fairly unimportant.

yes I agree I didn't really miss Brucie...and as much as i like Ronnie Corbert ..I couldn't see the point of him being there..maybe just to add a bit of comedy
I'm wondering if Jade will pull out..it says in todays papers that her injury might jeopardize her 2012 olympics appearance
I loved it when Claudia said to 2 of the dancers..right I have to do some reading now lol and turned to the autocue

Well, last night we got the answer to the question: could SCD continue without Bruce. The answer in our house was a resounding YES No stupid jokes, no personal remarks, no interrupting the judges with inane comments and no tired and hackneyed 'catchphrases'. Tess did the job well enough but Claudia was terrific. In fact ( apart from Jade and Leyla's injuries ) it was my favourite SCD.
I do hope Jade's injury doesn't knacker her hopes of 2012 Olympics.
Did Ronnie stumble down those stairs. ? I was sorry to see Phil go, but it was very close between him and Ricky Groves...I expect Ricky will go next week. ( Or Chris )

At last sense has previaled and Ricky Groves has gone...although his dance in the dance off was much better

Sadly, back to the same old Bruce rubbish. I did notice he made quite a few mistakes this week, stuttering over words and messing up names. I wasn't surprised to see Ricky go. I was sad about Jade, she was a real contender, so now it means a two couple final...I much prefer when it is three. I suppose it will be Ali and Rikki in the final with Rikki winning. He is good...and doesn't he know it. I would love Natalie to win though.

Right person got voted out this week - Natalie has been great entertainment, but she and Vincent were by far the worst last night.
Ricky W deserved to be in the dance-off - his first performance looked lack-lustre and half-hearted. I think he needed the wake-up call, because his second performance was much, much better.
Great show overall - loved the introduction of the Charleston and Rock'n'Roll.
Bruce surprisingly subdued (thank God).
Show only slightly spoiled for me by Len having (yet another) hissy fit with Craig. Craig is on the show as a judge, and Len should respect his opinion. You don't see Craig constantly having a go at Len for his opinions, do you?
In a perfect world, I'd like to see Claudia replacing Bruce, and Karen Hardy replacing Len.

I was sorry to see Nat and Vincent go but it was the right result. Their dance was not very good to say the least. It was lovely to see them getting such a cheer, they were a very popular couple, I loved her enthusiasm and energy.
The Charlstons were excellent ( I would love to see that dance every year ) I especially loved Chris's version ;D,
Rikki was dreadful but still got overmarked. I was pleased to see him in the bottom two....he will still win though, very definitely the judges favourite.

I agree with all of those comments..as much as i like Natalie..her time to go had come and I am glad Ricky was in the dance off too..he was getting a little too cocky
I like Len..and him and Craig are only having a bit of banter
Loved the Charleston...really enjoyed those routines..but the Rock n Roll dance was bit like a Jive and Lindy Hop cross..nothing special really

The right couple went this week
My predictions
1st Ricky Whittle 2nd Ali Bastian 3rd Chris Hollins
and it doesn't take Nostrodamus to work that one out lol

So Rikki was in the dance off again, maybe he really isn't as popular as he would like to believe. Great to see Chris and Ola through, he is such a joy to watch.

So disappointed to see Ali & Brian go out - 5 tens in the AS not good enough?
Have loved their blossoming relationship throughout the show, and I thought her by far the most elegant of all the celebrities.
Hope Ricky wins now - yes, Chris is the most improved, but TBH, as a dancer, he's not in Ricky's league (or Ali's, come to that).
Highlight of the night? - that jive from Ian and Darcey - in the words of CRH - 'FAB-U-LUSS'.

Great show all round, though it was filled with a lot of unnecessary padding.
However, the Lindy Hop was a disappointment - I think they should have been allowed to do separate dances, and not a joint effort. If that had been the case, I think Ricky and Natalie would have been far more outrageous, and would have thrown in a lot more tricky moves.
The result not a huge surprise - the British public just love the underdog, don't they? And has to be said that Chris and Ola did dance their little hobbit-like socks off last night.
At least Ricky can have the satisfaction of knowing that (as Len quite rightly said) he was the best dancer, and by some margin IMO.
Jade & Ian's Tango fabulous - I really think they would have been in it to the end, if she hadn't suffered that injury.
