Brendan is a judge over in the NZ series and what a nasty sarcastic guy he can be . He took off with a model/dancer after the first series breaking it off with his UK girlfriend .Hope he gets lots of criticism although he does dance very well as he does demos with another judge who is also a professional dancer and they are excellent together.

Hayley has been voted off - or her partner Mark. Brendan is annoying me as I can see that his looks are disappearing and I can't work out why the judges are being so kind and generous to him - maybe there is an agreement - his dancing conforms to the rules they give him good marks .........

Brendan annoys me too, and I just can't warm to Lisa at all.
I think it was right for Mark to go this week - he was rubbish; totally wooden.
John should go soon; he's a sweetie, but TBH he's eerrrmmm...cr@p.
His partner Kristina has been an excellent addition to the professional ranks tho' - great fun, and a real sense of drama in her performances.

I think one of the reasons that John is still in is that he doesn't take himself too seriously. I think a lot of people vote for him for his entertainment value. I don't think he will last much longer though.
It comes over when he is dancing that he is enjoying himself, loving to be able to ( in his own funny way ) dance. ;D
I think Kristina is doing a wonderful job with the choreography to bring out the best in him.
I find some of the others really intense, and think a few have the Gabby Logan factor.
I was glad that Andrew stayed, I thought the improvement in him very marked.

it was a bit cringy when Mark stripped off his shirt at the end !!
the right person was voted off...the thing about John is he looks like he enjoys it whereas people like Mark and Andrew seem to be going through the motions and making it hard work
And as for Craig Devil-Hardwood giving Christine 3 points....the swine

I think Andrew should go - he was rubbish (again). At least John makes only a few mistakes, even tho' he looks so awkward. Was a bit concerned for Cherie and James tonight (had to vote! ) - not a good performance - she looked so nervous and hesitant - hopefully she'll be back on form next week. I thought Rachel was fantastic this week - what is Len's problem with her? He's been very critical of of her and Vincent over last two weeks - it's unlike him, and it almost seems personal. Lisa good (but still don't like her, or Brendan). Jodie really improving week by week - thought she was very good last night). Could be a contender for the girls. Christine very sweet, but not really improving much. As far as I can see, Austin and Tom are really neck and neck for the men's race, tho' Tom's expression in the Paso last night was a little bizarre!

I thought Rachel's jive just wasn't jivey enough.
I really will Christine to do well
Andrew definatley needs to go this week...his samba movements were quite embarrassing
mm I think Cherie is better at the swirly twirly ballroom dances than the latin ones

It's really getting down to the nitty gritty with the dancers now.
Out of the lot of them I would like to see Andrew go, though the GMTV fan base may decree otherwise. I suppose the time is coming for John to go. Even though he is my favourite and pure entertainment, he is the weakest.
The only one I am not keen on is Lisa ( I've been out with George Clooney ) Snowdon, and that is just a personal dislike.
The trouble with Rachel's jive for me was remembering how well Jill Halfpenny did it.

I agree with Nick that Cherie is probably better suited to the ballroom dances, so I guess she's glad to get the last two weeks out of the way.
...and yes sooty - I think everyone remembers Jill's jive, which undoubtedly makes it tough for all others since!
That said, I still think Len's remarks were out of order.
The right person voted off yesterday (Andrew).

After a couple of weeks of very mixed performances, last night's show was a cracker.
Only a couple of weak dances (Austin and to a lesser extent Jodie), and only one real stinker (John).
Shock result... (exit this post if you don't want to know)
Rachel and Heather in dance-off (yes really!).
Heather has been eliminated (after possibly her best performance of the series).
IMO it's all Len's fault for insisting the public should start voting sensibly - should have kept his trap shut.

Indeed it was, and according to some of today's redtops, all the judges are spitting feathers - hardly surprising.

This is what happens when the judges ( mainly Craig ) are too heavy handed with their comments. The general public then decide to stick two fingers up and vote for the underdog. The same thing has happened on X-Factor.

"..it was a travesty" (part two) Gutted (again) - Cherie and James out (my favourites, even tho' I didn't think they'd make it to the final). Cherie and Lisa should never have been in the dance-off. It's well past time for a serious re-think about the scoring system. Yes I know people keep harping on about it 'also being an entertainment show', but it's still a competition, and surely 'competition' implies excelling at something, not being cute, funny, or laughably bad? I feel rather sorry for Kristina in all this, as I can imagine she's feeling some embarrassment for the position she's in. John, on the other hand, appears to find the whole thing highly amusing, and seems to think he deserves to still be in the running. It's not funny when two far better couples are left to fight it out in the dance-off, and one of them has to leave. Sorry about the rant, but I was bloody furious last night.

This is starting to get b***** ridiculous now. Cherie was one of the best dancers. I can understand the judges being furious. I could have accepted John getting through if the judges has got rid of Lisa, who IMO looked very ungainly ( the fact I don't like her has nothing to do with it of course ) My husband remarked to me that he wouldn't be surprised to see John get through to the final. There has got to be some change to the way the voting is done.

Yes..we are expecting John to get through to the final..AND it wouldn't surpise us if he won...the more people protest the more it becomes a campaign to keep him in...it isn't fair on the good dancers
Christine was excellent this week (she's my favourite)

Just seen this on the Southern Daily Echo site:
John Sergeant quits Strictly Come Dancing 11:57am Wednesday 19th November 2008
FORMER political journalist John Sergeant has walked away from the hit television show Strictly Come Dancing.
The 64-year-old had been one of the most popular dancers with the public on the show.
In a statement, he said: "The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far."
The move also means that Sergeants's Siberian born dancer Kristina Rihanoff, 31, is also out of the competition.

Shame though. I liked Jodie, she was the only one left who seemed to do it because she was enjoying it.
