Just a reminder for anyone who doesn't know to set your videos for 7,30pm NEXT Thursday (3rd November) for a special tribute programme to Stan Richards immediately after Emmerdale.

It is nice that they took their time in deciding how exactly to write the character out, and made a programme dedicated to him. I'm glad they did take their time, as it might have been a mess if it was rushed.

From previews I've read it sounds like there will be lots of laughs in the episodes as well as sadness.

This was a lovely tribute with some funny ( and sad ) clips of Seth's time as poacher/gamekeeper. It was quite emotional and the cast who took part seemed quite moved. Chris Chittell seemed especially so. ( Which was enough to set me off.)
Well done ITV.

And 23 mins long too - a minute longer than Emmerdale. It was good. Didn't they make a mistake though with the date of the plane crash saying it was New Year's Eve? I'd forgotten Seth had sons. I remember his wife Meg. We hardly saw her long before they killed her off. Poor Stan. So he'd had the emphysema 5 years. That worries me as my dad was diagnosed with it 2 years ago next month and we don't know how long he had it before then. Anyway, it did make you miss Seth a lot watching that. A lovely tribute.

I see they got a mention in tonight's episode. One in prison and the other who-knows-where. Nice to mention his family I thought.

LOL! She might at that. Think they'll finally tell the truth about her? Bill Roache will that's for sure. But what about Emmerdale? Clive Hornby maybe. Chris Chittell? Richard Thorp?

No idea about Emmerdale. But Bill, Betty Driver and Barbara all should for Corrie. Be interesting to see what they say about Barbara. They should ask you to appear and comment as one of her biggest fans!

The trouble is, is anyone as loved as Seth/Stan in Emmerdale at the moment by the public?

I presume that anyone who dies whilst still in the soap will get a special thing, it doesn't happen that often the thing with Seth is that there was so much history to talk about and a lot of close friendships had been built.
Betty is just asloved if not more i think.

Yes she could be. It's a pity really the Seth programme due 2 years ago to celebrate his 25 years never got shown because Stan became ill.
