About last nights episode:
It did drag on a bit, but the end was brilliant - even if the music was naff as they all ran around HF. In fact the title music was also particularly naff. As for the build up to the murder, more like Cluedo with the maid and the brazen hussy running around than Emmerdale.
The prime suspect for me is... Kelly. She had two bottles of bubbly, and I think she was planning to begin an affair with Tom as her one with Jimmy wasn't working out. He rebuked her and she accidentally pushed him. She's not on the list - and therefore not likely to be thought of at all.
Also why did Rosemary give Grayson such a long look after coming outside, before rushing to Tom's body? A look of guilt perhaps? However Grayson has the least motive of any of them IMO.
Terry is also a likely option - because as Lane said he has been in the show for quite a while, and perhaps the PTB could be thinking there is nothing else to be done with him.

26th December ep:
So Glynis Barber has arrived to solve the murder. Yay!
One more potential suspect - Eli. Could he have been caught robbing by Tom and pushed him out the window?
Bob got arrested, but we are all more or less sure that he didn't do it. Tonight really racked up the tension a few notches.

Jamie thingy from Emmerdale. All the ones with motives are too obvious. I think it's the way they've gone about it really. You had all these suspects weeks before the ep yet none of the eps leading up to it fit their reasons or possible actions. I can't see it being Terry at all. Would he jeopardise any future relationship with his son by being banged up? My money's still on Pearl, mainly because she's so pointless, I've always wanted Len and Edna together and want her gone. LOL! Patsy

LOL! Jamie from Corrie. I wouldnt recognise him. He was only a little lad in Corrie!
I wonder if it will be one of the 10 suspects listed in the tv guides or someone else.

I can see Grace making a vaulable contribution to the show, but not her pretty boy sidekick

He did seem a bit pointless. Glynis Barber's meant to be in it 6 months so if the murderer is arrest in 3, the trial will probably be 3 after that. So who's going in June?

Hopefully either Jamie or Terry. Nothing left for either of them to be honest.
Better not be Grayson.
Anyway who said they will eventually catch the killer or if the real killer is on the list of suspects?

Yep. They could escape. Flee to Morocco to be with Jean which would definitely rule Bob, Jamie and Terry out. LOL!

I wonder why Grayson was rubbing the top of his arm when he and Perdy were talking about Rosemary. Didnt Tom get hit with something?

I think it is rather interesting. All of the characters have motive, they all had a look of guilt on their face, BUT how many people knew which was Tom's bedroom? They went straight to it, whoever killed him?
Also, yes, who is leaving?
I read an interview with Tony Audenshaw (Bob) and even the cast don't know who have done it. He also has his own theory about who is guilty.
He says:
'I think either Chas had something to do with it, or Tom fell out of the window by accident!' laughs the actor, 'No one in the cast has been told who has done it yet - you never know it could still be Bob!'
One thing is for sure, who ever has done it, I hope they don't 'drawl' on it, it is going to be exciting working it out, but if they do draw it out, it will get boring for the viewer.
I still don't know why they just couldn't have sent Tom off to Spain for good than kill him off.

Kath Beedles, the producer of the show, has gone on record to say she certainly knows who killed Tom.

I forgot to reply to your earlier post, Sharon. I was going to say I agree with you about sending him to Spain. I wish they'd done that with Mike Baldwin too. Be funny if he fell out of the window by accident. Fell over his long miserable face. LOL!

I'm bored of this storyline now. One day into it and I am completely bored. It is going to take over the storylines for the next six months and because of the interactive stuff, it will be hard to ignore.

Patsy I'm not that sort of girl or so I'm trying to tell myself You tell her Yasmin That Shelley vision was quite a good review from what I can see. And spot on about Rosemary. She is a good actress I'll give her that but there isn't a lot for the character to do long-term. 6 months maybe but her lording it at Home Farm indefinately - surely not! Still not watched any episodes but interesting that Eithne should point out two other suspects Kelly and Eli. This backs up my theory earlier on in this thread that they could be lying to us and none of the suspects are guilty. Although I wouldn't imagine Eli is going anywhere soon.

How do you know there isn't a lot for her character to do long term? There's a lot for Grayson/Perdy to do as a couple, and while they are there, she has a right to be too. Characters in Emmerdale and Corrie can exist in their own right without the need for a family.

I'm not sure how Rosemary will play out. She may end up being really good and not as wasted as a lot of others. As long as they don't burn her out like soaps tend to I think she can last a while yet.

She is being explored now. Her relationship with the Dingles is sweet. Her and Zak, I've said are good. Then there is her smothering of Grayson and I would like her to stick around so she winds Perdy up so much that the worm will turn and she'll deck her.

So any new suspects emerging then? Prime suspects for me are still the same - Eli & Kelly. I'd say they are delibritley putting in the red herrings to wind us up (i.e. Grayson scracthing his arm). If they are then good on Emmerdale for doing such a good idea so well. Normally soaps have stories like these (e.g. Who Shot Phil? and do them awfully, while making it obvious who committed the crime)
With regard to Rosemary, she might last. I've thought that about characters in the past, but they've pleasantly surprised me.
