Charlie Clements was a fool - he was playing one of the most popular characters ever, and he could easily have negotiated some time off, and a return to the show, but no - he wanted to leave.
Has he appeared in anything else? Not that I'm aware of - his acting career might now well be over. Silly boy.

Agreed. At least quitting generally leaves the door open. He's been in a few things (theatre mainly I think) but his Twitter feed is so bloody dull I'm considering unfollowing.

He was in Casualty last month - I didn`t even recognise him until I saw the credits at the end. Maybe an episode of Doctors is in his future.
So basically his career is over.
