I'm always very wary of downloading stuff...I have a nasty habit of clicking something too quickly. ;D I am always waiting for it to self-destruct!
I've got it on 'Check for updates, but let me choose whether to download and install them' this now.

Guess what.
The wretched PC is doing it's usual tricks.
We (My S.I.L) has had to re-install Windows 7 yet again.
If it does it again he has recommended getting it a new hard drive.
It is still freezing all the time and it's taking ages to get stuff back.
I'd get myself a new one (lap top) but I don't like the look of Windows 8.

Geoff has Windows8 on his comp..it's OK once you get used to it..but it seems to make some htings very complicated !!

I have finally conceded defeat with this computer.
Have ordered a new one. It's an all-in-one Mac with decent sized screen and mouse.

Congratulations sooty!! I`ll be having a new pc of sorts this weekend too. Hubby is slicking the C drive and reinstalling Windows 7. He would`ve done it last weekend, but I still have to save all my stuff first.  |

Well it's come and we are all set up. It's taking ages to sort stuff out. I can't seem to paste and copy stuff. It is so different to Windows. Still, we'll get there. |

Got it sussed now Mostly by trial and error. Best part...it doesn't get 'viruses'. My last one was very good at that.  |

Yayyy I`m glad your new PC is working for you sooty.
I still haven`t got hubby to reformat my h/d. I`ll probably wait til after Christmas now. I`m just so busy this time of year. It`s hard to believe it`s Christmas Eve tomorrow....eeek
