Didnt they get married on 30th October last year, so why was tonight the 26th November their first wedding anniversary?

Yes, Jez you're right - well spotted! So in actual fact he forgot their anniversary as well!

I was thinking that Cilla would have corrected him but obviously she has other things on her mind.

Oh yes id forgotten about that. Did they get married for real later? I hated the entire storyline so much and the wedding was a low point for me its kind of gone in one ear and out the other!

I had completely forgotten about that! Yes they did - there was a last minute cancellation at the Register Office and they rushed down there and then the Battersby-Browns were created!
So this week is the correct date after all.

The first "wedding" was completely stupid anyway, one of the worst episodes ive ever seen in all the years ive been watching.

EastEnders is so good I'm looking forward to loads of things coming up. My dad's even going to watch this coming week and he hates it. And Christmas Day with Pauline's death will be brilliant.

I didn't say you were. I love it. Can't get enough of it. Nothing in Corrie gets me interested because it's all either been done a zillion times before, drags on forever going round in circles or just plain boring.

Lots of people are slagging EE off as well though and saying its boring.

Talking about realism or lack of it.................... is it realistic that Cilla would have gotten an appointment so quick and her test results back as quick as she did in a Manchester hospital on the NHS? My dad has had to wait months to see a heart specialist in the Gwent Health Authority.

The trouble with Cilla is that she initially had a certain comic value playing the character of devious pie-faced slapper, but that that can only go so far. Her admission that she had been diagnosed with cancer last night oddly evoked not an ounce of sympathy from me. Either Wendi Peters cannot act pathos, or the Cilla character is too far beyond redemption due to the comical shenanigans hitherto that it just isn't working.

corriegirl it depeneds on her doc as to how quick she was seen the the hospitalbut I agree it would be unlikely that she would get her test result,s back so quickly. when Cilla annouced she had cancer she did get sympathy from me, and I shed a tear or two as it brought back memories to me because both my late parent,s had cancer :,(. I disagree that Wendy Peter,s can not act patho,s as she is a fine actress. I think we are used to seeing the Cilla character being played as a comical one and because of that we are not used to someone like Cilla haveing a serious role to play such as the cancer one. and Wendy Peter,s is handleing the role well even to hideing the news from Cillas family and her husband Les. (my parent,s did this with me and my sister and late brother which is why I shed a tear or two).

I suppose it really depends what it's for. After I got back from Australia 5 years ago I had leg pain for a week. I got an emergency GP appointment in the morning and he made me one for lunchtime at the hospital for a DVT scan. I also got a fast hospital appointment for breast lumps last year. However the results took a bit of time.

Wendi Peters is a superb actress, I`ve always thought so. And she has proved it with this latest storyline. I was moved to tears with her performance too Val. Billy, you must have a heart of stone not to be affected by Cillas plight. I`d even feel the same way if it happened to Tracey Barlow. I just hope Les won`t let this storyline down by trying to cry. He just doesn`t do crying well at all. It seems forced. Fiz will be great though, as will Chesney.

I agree about Bruce Jones (Les)...he can do comedy and shouting very well....but anguish and upset he cannot do

Perhaps it's a side effect of no rehearsal. Remember the good old days when they would get a performance down to perfection? Now it's learn your lines by tomorrow and get on with it.

Wendi Peters wasn't bad tonight in her hospital bed, but as predicted Bruce Jones was dreadful - punching the wall in his 'anguish'.
