Oh don't get me wrong, Charlie is no saint. But what Tracy has done is well out of his league.
I actually don't think KF's acting has been too bad. There were times when she was being flirty on Friday she was quite good. With the actual murder and manipulation she has been mediocre at best but nothing really to complain about. No grinning except when required so that is a definate improvement.

and sorry Jez, yes she has improved but I take back my previous comments.
I was cooking dinner so was spared most of CS tonight. However I did happen to walk in during the scene in the second episode where Tracy is told Charlie is dead. She is supposed to be pretending to everyone she is upset (well that's how the dialogue went and the reaction of the others in the scene).
Well my husband is totally blind and he said to me is she laughing sounds like she is laughing. Sure enough I looked up and she was grinning her head off then she buried her face (as she always does when she has to show emotion). Then when they all went in Tracy was supposed to show how happy she was really that Charlie was dead. But even this she didn't get totally right. She had the chance to grin all she wanted but she now actually looked slightly upset.
Same old same old, getting her emotions wrong in all the wrong places and getting her timings out of sink.
But all in all there is no question she is a bit better at acting than she used to be. At least she does attempt to act now.

Yes especially after what Tina Baker wrote, sounds like she isn't getting any.

She got it wrong tonight when they broke the news of Charlie's death to her. She grinned, then cried!

She's making more of an effort because her days are numbered but she's still appalling.

Sane producers and casting directors hire talent. She's had 4 years (more's the pity) to show what she can do and she has - badly.

She has been quoted as saying that she really wants to do other types of roles once she leaves Tracy behind. However she would accept being typecast if it means she can get a job. She would rather get typecast, than not be cast at all. It was in a feature about what she wants to do after Corrie and had she got anything lined up. Well clearly she hasn't got anything lined up and made clear she would be glad for any work just to be cast in something. I personally would of thought ITV will give her something on the back of Corrie, even if after that she never gets work again if she fails at that. However we shall see?

You must be joking. She'd be shouting it from the roof tops the way she loves talking about herself and making it up as she goes along.

LOL!
Anne Kirkbride was actually worse than Kate Ford by miles in the final scene tonight. Anne was dreadful and Kate Ford wiped the floor with her. Mind you Kate Ford had far less lines.

I caught the end of this and wondered what the hell she was meant to be doing so put the sound up. She may have been falling about all over the place but her line delivery was the same as always.

She was drunk and was attempting to hide from Claire as she didnt want her to start lecturing her/offering her leaflets etc.

I caught some of the BBC Learning Zone last night about learning Spanish. It was filmed in Mexico and focused on young actresses wanting to make it big and about the Telenovellas filmed. They have the lines read to them via an earpiece due to making 200 eps a year of 45 mins length but are choosy who they hire. One of the stipulations is they must be able to cry. That would soon clear out our industry with the likes of KF and other trees if they did they applied the same ones here for casting. Get proper actors and actresses then.
