That's the trouble with liars you see. They never remember what they said while people have better memories. That's why people should be more honest, especially celebs then their career won't disappear down the toilet one day when they're riding high.

Corrie's Kate Ford dates a doctor Sunday, December 11 2005, 11:15 GMT -- by Daniel Kilkelly
Coronation Street star Kate Ford is dating a young doctor.
The actress, who plays scheming Tracy Barlow, was introduced to brain specialist Sam Orde by friends. The pair appeared in public together for the first time on Friday night, to celebrate Granada Television's 45th anniversary in Manchester.
"Kate is very, very happy. She's clearly fallen for Sam in a big way," a show source told The People. "They always stay in touch even when their work keeps them apart. He's a really nice bloke and thinks the world of her. Kate had been single for a long time and likes to keep her private life to herself but she's clearly smitten with Sam.
"She's nothing like her TV character. Tracy is a right slapper but Kate is a lovely down-to-earth girl. She's waited until the right man came along - and it looks like Sam might be the one."

Yes I saw that. Dosn't look very happy inthe pic while he's grinning like an idiot! The article's wrong anyway. It's Corrie's 45th anniversary, not Granada's.
Bit funny though, don't you think? There's those pics of her and Shobna on holiday. Next Shobna's fella makes a reappearance and suddenly KF's been dating this brain surgeon for months.

Patsy I noticed that as well about the 45th anniversary being Granada's not Corrie's Where is this pic? Is he good looking? All I saw on DS was the article, with no pics. And she said in that recent TV Times interview that she was single.

Why do the writers continaully write stories for tracey where she continously gets away with her bad behaviour? Personally I`d like to see a storyline where someone grasses up Tracey to the child protection services for her continual neglect of her daughter. As a mother of 2 sons, it angers me when I see scenes of Tracey buggering off with Charlie without a care in the world. Bitch!

You'd think she would get whats coming to her soon wouldnt you. But unlike most villans they want to keep her in the show for some reason.

Because she's Daran's protogeé. Also she's clearly getting no offers of work. She was meant to go last year. "This is my last contract" she said in 2004. Then they gave her another 6 months while sentencing us to years in torment. Now she's reported to be saying she's loving it so much she's going nowhere, conveniently after Kieran returned. And we know he and Daran think she's the best actress since Sarah Bernhardt. If she was any good, she wouldn't still be in it because, like everyone else when they announce they're leaving a soap, say they've got this, that and the other lined up.

People always say that when they leave soap. Look at who has left in the last few years, ive only really seen Suranne Jones in something else and that was only one series. Keith Duffy has done nowt.

Wasn't Keith having a rest first and then doing some Irish TV and films? Some of them that leave have over-inflated egos and fail. Look at Adam Rickett! KF is in the same league as him but at least he can act a bit.

I really liked Keith Duffy.... he made a very believable barman. Of course it helped me not knowing him from his singing career.

I liked Keith as well CorrieGirl, it was a shame he left.
Patsy, tell me you are joking. Adam Rickett could not act at all!

at least when Jacquie Chadwick quit she didn't have any glam ideas. She wanted to spend time with her family.

I loved Linda Baldwin, she was a fantastic character. Even when she was at her most devious (causing Alma to collapse), I still found a twinge of pity for her. I can`t say the same for the toxic one.

Compared to KF, Jezziekins, AR was straight from the Old Vic! Linda was brilliantly played by Jacqui Chadwick. I was watching some of those eps a couple of months ago while doing research for my last story and was totally gripped all over again. Mind you, as soon as Mike waved Linda off the day before, he hotfooted it to The Kabin. We all know what for, don't we? It's obvious watching early Tracy 4 she was given Linda's lines. She was coming out with insults like calling Hayley 'Harold' which only Linda did. I wouldn't be surprised if it was meant to be Linda returning and they had it all written then it was changed at Daran's behest to give his protogeé a job. Patsy

DL will never admit he`s wrong will he Pats. As long as KF is kissing his arse and vice versa then he`ll continue to write drivel for her. A vicious circle really.

So true there, CG. Which is one reason he should go - get rid of his delusions of grandeur and let the producer and casting do their jobs when it comes to auditions and things to do with the welfare of the show. Anyone would think he created it the way he goes on.

What if KF never came on the scene and Dawn Acton was acting the Tracey Barlow scenes from the past 2 years? Would we feel the same about DA like we would KF? I`ve been pondering on this for a while now and still can`t come up with an answer

Don't think so because Dawn could act. Also don't forget, it was DL's idea to change Tracy's personality so if Tracy had just been Tracy we wouldn't have had this neverending claptrap.

If Dawn Acton has played her though Tracy would still have been a bitch. Remember they wanted to change the character into a bitch before Kate Ford was cast as her.

That's what I said. But we know DL had no intention of casting Dawn because he hated her. He created this new Tracy for his friend/relative KF.

Well Tracy was never that bitchy when Dawn played her, it down to Kate Ford that she is such a great bitch these days. I was reading on teletext yesterday that Kate Ford said that she hopes Tracey stays a bitch

No. It's the writer's words but she is putting them across badly because of her none-dimensional performance. TB is always quoting old interviews from people. Leanne is a great bitch. Jane does everything KF lacks.
