I have just read in todays Daily Mirror that they have found a lost episode of Crossroads in an unmarked tin and it is the earliest recorded episode to be discovered (1965) the episode will be shown on the ITV website from this weekend !!

I heard about it yesterday but forgot to post it. As there's meant to be 5 DVDs coming out on DVD they could stick it on the last. The BBC were quick to put out the Dalek Masterplan ep discovered.

Patsy So there is only one more volume of Crossroads coming out on DVD then as we have had 4 previously? Or will they release more after this latest one?

No idea. They seem to be releasing them now exclusively on the Network site. There's 6 out already plus the ones available everywhere. This find is listed as 1.1 and there's just two eps on it. Postage is free which is something.

45th anniversary box set coming out on the 2nd from Network featuring all the exclusive DVDs releases. Thank goodness for that. I've only managed to buy 5 of them (and 2 of those were Xmas & birthday pressies for last year). Saves me a fortune this way!

Cool. Are these all episodes from the ATV era or some Central as well?

Just the ATV ones they had the rights to. It's the ones they were releasing and not in the shops. Cost anything from £11-20 separately (depending on if there's a deal), which is one reason I never got round to the rest.

I have just read that...I always imagine Heather as Valerie Pollard..it will be odd to see her as an 83 year old !!

It will but she was great as Val. I couldn't believe it when they said her age. No way was she in her 50s then! She looked fab!

Mind you in those days you were less inclined to wonder. Celebrities generally kept things private. Now we even know when they had a crap!
