I'm surprised Sally hasn't moved long before now..she could have got the house opposite before the Mortons bought it at a knocked down price after Charlie's death
Well once Marcus moves in with Sean he'll be driven mad after 2 days
seans arms folded bad taste??..Liam had his hands in his pockets all the way through ...as you know I like Liam but that wasn't on
Thank God L & M are back together (if only temporarily)!!

I thought Sean had a flaming cheek asking Marcus to move in, before he'd even cleared it with Eileen.
Funeral scenes all done very well I thought - I just wish Carla would disappear and leave Liam and Maria to sort themselves out. (Some hope, it would seem, looking at the spoilers).
Sally proving once again that she's a complete snob, and pretty awful the way she treated Claire considering they're supposed to be friends. I think Claire should have stuck to her guns and set the price she wanted - estate agents are only there to advise, after all.
Good couple of episodes.

Maria who....?
Has anyone noticed the voices from the next scene start before the visual scene changes?
And I notice on the credits it says 'Based on an idea by Tony Warren'..I was under the impression he thought of it,created all the characters and wrote the first scripts..hardly 'based on an idea' more 'Created by' I would have thought

You've only just noticed the Tony Warren bit? You're quite right of course. He had a lot of input back in the first half of the 60s at least.

The Tony Warren bit has been on every episodes end credits since he stopped writing them I think. I suppose what they are saying is the show as it is today is "based on an idea by Tony Warren". It would be nice if they said that he created or devised the series though.

I always thought they ought to have said the same thing about EE in the early days. Created by Tony Warren and Phil Redmond. Patsy

What a total b*stard Liam is - going to bed with Carla after all his promises to Maria. If he cared enough about Maria he would have camped outside Fiz's until Maria believed him, but no he shot straight round to Carla's and said 'You home-wrecking bitch - cop hold of this'.Swine.
Tina was so annoying interfering in Platt family business, but quite funny too. Gail, although surprised, was quite composed, really, when she learnt her dad was gay - unlike her reaction to poor Todd, who'd knocked up Sarah before coming out.
Becky needs to move out of Roy's - before everyone goes mad. It's driving me mad. BTW where does Kelly live these days? Didn't she use to share the flat above Streetcars with Lloyd and Becky, before she went all Single White Female?
Leanne in the Rovers? Wow - she's so multi-talented: whoring, restaurant trade, arsonist, bookie and now barmaid. Liz's famous lack of judge of character skills shining through again.

Its the first time I have read the credits all the way through for ages
Liam has gone down in my estimation (but Rob James Collier hasn't lol)
I thought Tina was like a different person today..she usually shows respect for Gail...but she seemed very cheeky tonight
Don't forget belly dancer for Leanne too lol

Leanne used to be a barmaid when Natalie Whore-acks was landlady. It was around that time that Jez Quigley got Leanne hooked on drugs and for payment he demanded that Leanne leave the Rovers door unlocked so Jez and his cronies could burgle it.

I hated both episodes....not because of bad scripts or poor acting, but I couldn`t stand to see Carla get her mitts into Liam...it was like watching a train wreck. It horrified me but I couldn`t turn away. I`m so disgusted with Liam, he deserves a slap. I don`t even excuse his behaviour on the loss of his son. Many fathers lose newborn sons, but they don`t jump into bed within days of their childs funeral FGS. And the way he snapped at Maria was disgusting. Sorry Liam, but this is one female who won`t be worshipping you from afar anymore. I dread to think what the next few weeks is going to be like. Wait til Tony finds out....he is going to go postal. I don`t believe in men hitting women, but thsi is one time I say that Carla deserves it. No doubt Maria will be the one to tell him - and I don`t blame her one bit. I just hope and pray that Carla doesn`t fall pregnant. I couldn`t stand to see her lording it over Maria.

Carla/Liam/Maria is just repetative now for me. After fridays episode with Maria I hated seeing Liam get it on with Carla. I am firmly in camp maria over this whole thing.
Tina is great! She a bit rude and cheeky, but the Platts scenes made the episodes for me.
'He won't be de-camping anywhere!' LOL !!!!!!!!

I found the scenes with Tina reacting to Ted's revelation that he was gay quite heartening, and I hope, fairly typical of young people's attitudes today. I'm old enough to remember the vile prejudice and discrimination that used to be dealt out routinely to gay and lesbian people in this country, and even though homophobia and prejudice are still around, these scenes were a nice reminder of the immense progress that we've made in the last ten years or so in terms of social attitudes towards people with differing sexual orientations - I was particularly pleased to hear Ted refer to the civil partnerships that are now pretty much an accepted norm for so many couples.

I loved all the Tina interaction last night. She was so natural about it all and so funny.
That girl really is the best thing in Corrie at the moment.

Two very good episodes I thought, with really great contrasts and moods.
Really despise Carla now, and Liam isn't much better. I admit that Maria made it very easy for him to jump ship, but I can imagine her emotions are all over the place at the moment, and she didn't really handle the situation as well as she could have done.
Have never been a great fan of Maria, but I feel very sorry for her at the moment.
All the stuff with Ted, Gail, Audrey and Tina just brilliant, and for those who have compared Tina to Karen - Tina's twice as sharp and funny, and the actress is a million times better! Fantastic find - I just hope she stays a while.
Liked the little scene with Jason and Becky up on the roof, and the one in the pub, when Becky stormed off, Eileen smiled and said 'I like her'. ;D
8/10 (even tho' I hated the Carla/Liam bits)

What a hypocrite Liam is. Earlier in the episode he said he would never cheat on Maria and by the end he had. I know Liam and Maria decided to end their relationship for now but you dont go and shag someone else within ours of walking out on your wife! I didnt like the scenes where Carla got her hooks into him at all! I agree with Nick, he had really gone down in my estimation (character not actor!)
Loved the stuff with Tina and the Platts and I can only echo everyone else's comments about those scenes!

Anyone else notice in last nights show that Gail is turning into Hillary Clinton with that hairstyle?

We had to laugh when Gail said to Audrey 'I am just telling Ted about the history of my bad taste in men'
And Audrey replied 'Gail love we are only having a 2 course dinner'

I still cannot believe Liam wants anything to do with Carla after she said that it`s a good thing their baby died.
I really like Ted and hopes he sticks around..at least til David gets out of that youth offenders place. I can see already that Tina really likes him.

How come Liam and Carla were allowed to bury baby Paul BEFORE they'd registered the death? Funeral directors require documents from the Registrar before they bury someone.
The Platts/Tina scenes were good again - it's probably not the last we've seen of Tina's mum. No wonder she was angry - given the Platt's family history of underage sex and delinquency, no mother would want her daughter taking up with a lad like David, then go and live in his room while he was in the nick!
That Julie has got her feet under the table fast! It won't be long before Fiz tells her to sling it, I'm sure!

Fiz wants it all ways doesn't she..?..she doesn't want Kirk, but when he gets someone else she doesn't want that either...I think Julie is a plot device to get F & K back together again

Maybe she's not the only one with you know who returning. Probably to make her choose and she'll pick Berk.
