The fire scenes were so unrealistic: I agree with Nick, they are being irresponsible. Untrained people without specialist clothing and equipment would be overpowered by heat and smoke very quickly. But in soaps they can do this, and even deliver lines, for ages before suffering any ill effects. It might give people the impression that running into a fire is anything other than insanity.

I didn't realise they were killing Kal off, doesn't look good for Maddy either. Whatever happens, Toxic will walk away squeaky clean of any involvement.

Corrie haven't done a realistic fire since 1986.

I must confess I watched it last night to see if the stunts were good. Wow it was embarrassing. When one of the explosions happened, the characters didn`t react to the explosion til about 3 seconds later. I don`t know if that was bad editing or bad acting. Then there were the similarities between the 2010 tram crash and the Victoria flat fire.
2010 Ken Barlow: Peter`s in there 2015 Yasmeen - Kal`s in there Both said with as much emotion as 'it`s raining outside'
2010 John Stape kills Joy Fishwick and then makes it look as if she died in the explosion. 2015 Looks like Maddy carks it after trying to expose Jenny.

I'm sorry they killed off Maddie. Whatever happens over the fire, we know for certain that Toxic will walk away squeaky clean. If there was ever justice in a soap she would have perished in the fire. But that would never happen to TPTB's favourite would it?

Some good acting from Jenny. Kevin said he couldn't imagine how she was feeling after the loss of her son, but hadn't he suffered similarly in the past? One of this girlfriends had a baby boy, who was really sick, and died and she ran off under a truck, leaving him to grieve for them both. Julie is really annoying at the moment, but it's good to see Brian back.

Not sure if he and Alison were married, but I remembered when their baby Jake died, and Alison threw herself under a truck. It was so tragic. Even if the writers hadn`t known about it.....Michael/Kevin would have remembered. Sally would have remembered too. In fact most of them would have remembered....Sophie, Rita, Norris, Emily, the McDonalds.

Yes she was Alison Webster. She stole Bethany Platt in her grief then threw herself under the lorry immediately after handing her back. The producer admitted the oversight at the weekend.

Very sad: two babies lost tonight. Hopefully Faye will start to miss Miley soon and want to be involved. And poor Erica and Nick's baby lost too though TBH I didn't even know that a woman could still have a baby at 50, I thought that was too old when they first announced the pregnancy. Gary Windass has turned out to be really caring and sensitive recently - he used to be such a yob and I hated the character but I like him now.

Looks like Michael may be warming to Andy again. I do hope so, he was worth 20 of his real son.
Whilst I feel sorry for Faye I think she's done the right thing. Lets be honest, it was Anna's constantly pushing her to keep the baby the reason she never got adopted out....at least this way she can Faye can see the baby.
Sad about Erica and the baby. I wonder what will happen now as Nick was only with her because she was pregnant, it's obvious he fancies Carla.

Some good acting, but a lot of the dialogue was definitely directed towards us older fans. It was a bit self-indulgent - not that I'm complaining, but they kept mentioning people like Mike Baldwin, Jon Lindsey, Wendy Crozier, which does kind of alienate viewers who haven't been watching for long. It was a good celebration of Deirdre's life and loves on the Street. Harsh words from Peter to Tracy - although he's hardly popular himself. I had totally forgotten about Fred Elliott collapsing and dying on his wedding day to Bev!I'm glad they reminded me - I used to love Fred.

I don't like the way things re going with Carla. This is bad news. Having lived in the past with a compulsive gambler myself I know the devastating effect this addiction can have on a relationship. A gambler cares about nobody and nothing but getting hold of cash for the next horse race/game etc. It's horrible. Carla's character has suffered plenty - and now she's a compulsive gambler. Is she never going to be allowed to be happy? And I'm guessing that Roy will be a victim of her ruthlessness? Not good. I don't particularly find Liz or Leanne particularly likeable or entertaining, but I wouldn't wish a scumbag like Dan on either of them. And the previously adorable Simon is turning nasty, too. Too many nasty characters about these days

Corrie is getting unwatchable these days. I predict the next big plot will be Callum getting Bethany hooked on some drug or other.!

Totally and absolutely fed up with all the Platt stuff. Even more fed up with the waste of space that is Bethany. Rubbish character, dreadful actress...who actually looks older than the actress who plays her mother !!

It's all irritating at the moment. It would be nice for Roy to find happiness, without disrespecting Hayley's memory - but this Cathy is just too eccentric. Two oddballs, yet again - hmm, kinda patronising. Mary would have been better,, but he doesn't fancy her. Mary has such good dialogue, when she's in it, but it's a shame that it's nearly all based around her unrequited crushes on Norris, Roy, Dev etc. she should have a decent storyline in her own right. The same with Julie - it's nearly always about her love life. The women, IMO, have always been the most important characters in Corrie - it just gets boring watching them in a succession of disastrous/abusive relationships.
