Exactly. I had to stop myself laughing after Audrey and made such a big deal of NOT discussing it in the salon then they ended up there. Reet's flat would have been better or the one above the salon.

Would the police really march into the bookies announce who they were and shout they wanted to talk to Leanne regarding a possible arson attack on Valandros restaurant in front of all the customers.??..I think not
Poor Maria...mind you at the end me and Geoff were both shouting 'Just tell him'
and how did Ted get hold of Audreys phone number..how did he know where she lived or that her name was Roberts ?

Two good episodes I thought - well balanced and well thought out.
Would seem that Marcus is a pretty decent guy (and far better than Sean deserves) - just a shame he looks so seedy!
Carla really showing her true colours as a Grade A bitch - just hope that when the truth comes out, that spiteful smirk is wiped off her mouth, and she leaves Liam and Maria alone in future.

I very much doubt that! Two excellent episodes, the best we've had for a few months IMO. Poot Maria, I felt sorry for her. Ive heard people comment that Samia's acting wasnt good but I thought she was excellent. Liked the stuff with Audrey and Ted too. It was funny when he said that Gail didnt get her bad taste in men from him LOL! And also Audrey assumed his partner was a woman when she told Reet.

Terribly sad - poor Maria. Her scenes in the hospital were heart-breaking.

Watching this episode made me ponder many things. For instance.......why didn`t Maria tell Liam their baby had died? Another thing I`m still pondering is........ why the hell is Marcus leaving and AC isn`t? I`ve always liked Marcus and Mondays and todays episodes show that Marcus is a terrific character and he can be more on Corrie than AC`s partner. He`s worth more than that. Comeon new producer please reconsider bringing back Marcus and getting read of the dead wood that is 'Tony Tully' That scene at the end where the baby`s tiny little hand was showing had me in floods of tears. Poor Maria.....she was superb in this episode. Well done Samia.

I thought Samia was good too.....I can only guess that Maria is frightened of telling Liam because she is insecure and thinks he only married her because of the baby, and if the baby is taken out of the equasion he won't want to be with her anymore

I agree Samia was excellent. The scenes last night were truly heartbreaking to watch.
I think she hasnt told Liam as she cant find the words to tell him and he is so excited.

I think Maria is the same way as me. When I have a tragedy in my life I just clam up and keep it to myself. When my beloved Dad passed away last June, I couldn`t even phone hubby at work to tell him - I waited til he got home.

Poor Liam finding out the awful truth like that.
Maria seems more bothered about whether Liam is going to leave her or go to see Carla than about his feelings about losing their son.
The rest of tonights episodes were ok - nice to see Tina again. I guess we will be seeing more of her now she is back with David.
Also the Claire/Sally house swap seems daft but I guess it makes sense. Never heard of anyone doing that before though! Claire was funny when talking about all the ways she would save money.

I have heard of people doing houseswaps..saves money on solicitors and estate agents etc...
I'm afraid Maria is getting on my nerves !!;....I know she has been through a lot.....
Should Marcus really have told Sean like that..isn't he covered by the hypocratic oath or something?

I can't bear it, that house wouldn't be right without the Websters in there. Especially given Sally/Sally & Kevin's early days in there with Hilda.

Yes, I agree that Maria should have told Liam sooner, but I actually thought all her reasoning yesterday for not doing so made sense, given the cicumstances.
She'd always been very insecure, even before meeting Liam, and all through her pregnancy has been given plenty of ammunition for feeling even more so by the increasingly nasty Carla.
I think Liam does (or did until last night), genuinely love Maria, and had got over Carla. However - bearing in mind Maria's fragile state and her insecurity, he never actively went out of his way to discourage Carla very forcefully, which in my view was not only pretty dim, but also showed very little regard for Maria's feelings.
Oh yes, and great to see Tina again. ;D

I thought the exact same thing at first. But when I thought about it later, a tragedy such as the death of Maria and Liams son would`ve been public knowledge immediately. Except for Maria keeping it to herself of course. Liam was quite right in being furious, but he should also understand the position that Maria was put into. And she did try to tell him but he flew off the handle a few times and Maria couldn`t get a word in. Personally I blame Carla for Liam and Maria at each others throats instead of grieving for their baby. If she hadn`t sent the cab back then Maria would`ve called Liam immediately at the hospital.

OMG! Sally is such a snob! 'You're so working class Kevin', 'Cans of beer in a conservatory are so wrong Kevin'. Get over yaself, luv!
And I think it's in bad taste to dredge up Casey and use what happened as emotional blackmail in the same week as the aftermath of Maria's baby dying/funeral. Does that mean that poor Maria will go mental like Casey did?
I've never been a huge fan of Maria - decorative, vacuous and daft, but for the the still birth storyline I back her 100%, and Liam has been an insensitive oaf, hanging out with Carla and Lloyd when Maria was obviously suffering. If he wasn't so distracted/self-absorbed it would have been easier for Maria to tell him everything. Her sufferings - physical and emotional have been greater than his. Good acting from everyone involved with the funeral scenes.

Beats me why she's still living in a back street, working in a factory and going to a common boozer.

2 excellent episodes tonight with the right mix of sadness and humour.
The funeral was very moving and sad to watch, however all actors did it justice. I liked it when Liam was talking to the baby about "Uncle Paul" and telling him to behave for him. Also liked the bit at the end where Carla saw Liam and Maria arrive home.
The Sally/Claire house swap was a bit of welcome light relief and i throughtly enjoyed the scenes. Sally was on top form with her snobby comments, although I dont like the fact she has basically lost Claire 5K on the house. Claire is just too nice.

I got the feeling at the end that Claire might have been having second thoughts about going.
I can't imagine how those two lively growing boys are going to like being cooped up in that tiny yard.
Did you notice in all the funeral scenes how Sean kept his arms firmly folded......how very disrespectful. What a pity the directors didn't notice. !!

Yes I did notice and agree with you...it`s very disrespectful. But what else can you expect with Sean/Anthony. The constant glaring from Carla at Maria in the church and gravesite just makes me dislike Carla more. Way to go Audrey for noticing this and trying to get Carla away from Maria and Liam. Bless Audrey....she`s been an absolute rock for Maria. Which brings me to Fiz. She is getting more cattier and spiteful by the minute. So what if Julie was sobbing in church? At least Julie was there for Kirk - which is more than can said for Fiz. She had her chance with Kirk and she didn`t want to know. I like Julie - she`s a better girlfriend to Kirk than Fiz ever was

Wow Sophie Webster is growing up...she looked really lovely last night. She looked prettier than Rosie. I`m not surprised Claire is seething and feels betrayed by Sally sucking up to the estate agent and making nasty remarks about the Peacocks house ....I`d be the same way too. I like Sally usually but her snobby ways last night made me mad. She was born a Sedden fer gawds sake - not A Windsor from Buckingham Palace. I hope Kevin puts his foot down about her snobby ways soon.

Sally's snobbish ways seemed to arrived overnight in 2004! When Rosie washad a part in the school musical Grease, Sally started getting ideas above her station!
