Yep - all true, they've made a dog's dinner out of this storyline. Also - point number 6: The scenes with Tina's mother were awful. Badly written, badly acted - w bitched about it here on LTS at the time.

Hilarious tonight. Sinead with Sean in the gay bar - a bit of lively night life for a change. Why is Sean so embarassed about pulling a vicar? He's practically a nun himself these days!! That sofa looks absolutely ludicrous in Sally's house, but trust her to be all snobby about it! And Kevin and Diane with Sally and Tim in the bistro - pretty good material salvaged out of the dumb sofa story.
Maybe Corrie's getting back on track ??

I also enjoyed Friday nights Corrie., It made a change from all the doom and gloom. Sinead was so hilarious with her dancing. I liked her from day one, and it`s good to see her have scenes other than Underworld and the Rovers/Roys Rolls. T`vicar is a nice bit of eye candy. He has very similar looks to Marcus don`t you think sooty? I`m quite looking forward to the next Corrie (which is an hour long episode on Sunday night). I haven`t said that in such a long time.

Loved last nights Corrie (haven't been able to say that for a while) The only bit which makes me glaze over is when Yasmeen is on the screen. I know what you mean about the vicar Wendy, he does have a look of Marcus. I suppose that is the look Sean goes for. The actor was in Emmerdale years back. He played bin man Ivan who had an affair with both Nicola and Paul Lambert. Loved all the sofa stuff, all panicking like mad I quite liked Diane, was that a Canadian accent she had ?

Ivan from Emmerdale!!!!! Of course!!!! Thank you sooty - I knew I recognised from somewhere. He`s more gorgeous than ever. Not Nikhil Sharma gorgeous, but he`s still lovely regardless. I loved that scene in Corrie last night where Craig was eating crisps on Sallys couch, and Sally was there trying to catch the crumbs!! Sally is a brilliant actress, she can do both comedy and drama so well. Craig is a smashing character - I`ve liked him from day one.

I know we're supposed to sympathise with the star-crossed lovers Gary and Alya, but if I had a daughter no way would I want her going out with Gary. He can be responsible - but he's mostly shifty and unstable, with no prospects and a kid with an ex. Of course her family want to protect her.

How very predictable that Gail took an instant dislike to Erica that friend of Liz`s, and immediately started throwing her weight around in the Bistro like she was the one that owned it. I don`t think there has been one girlfriend or acquaintance of Nick`s that Gail has liked. It`s as if she is acting more like a scorned ex girlfriend of Nick`s rather than his Mother. Even Ivy wasn`t that bad. It`s embarrassing to watch I have to admit.

I liked Erica. She was like a breath of fresh air amongst all the misery on the cobbles.

So Toxic Tracy got over the 'love of her life' getting 25 years in the nick quite quickly then - by banging her ex-mother-in-law's current shag. That's about the level that Corrie is at these days - a great shame. They need to give less airtime to the nasties, and big up the nicies, otherwise they'll lose ALL their viewers

I am right off Corrie at the moment. It seems to be full of unpleasant or down right boring people. What has happened to all the character driven (as opposed to ratings driven) storylines.

I couldn`t agree more sooty. And going by the spoilers it doesn`t look like it will improve either. EE will win the ratings war hands down. And rightly so - and I don`t even watch EE anymore. I`ll give Corrie a miss Christmas Day. I never thought I`d ever say that in a million years - and it`s all because of Blackburn. He turned a perfectly good soap into a ratings loser. I hope he gets his P45 on Christmas Day. He deserves nothing less.

I`ll give Corrie a miss Christmas Day. We are away Christmas day. I'll Sky+ it but I don't know if I'll get round to watching it.

I enjoyed quite a bit of the the 'Festive' Corrie. Mainly the new friendship between Tim and Kevin and the chicken stuff. The Kylie stuff I didn't pay much attention too. Mostly because I can't stand Callum (I dislike his teeth even more) I feel sorry for Roy and have a feeling that Gary will escape justice

I can`t stand Callum either sooty. He`s a Ross Barton from Emmerdale Mk 2, and I can`t stand him either.

Pretty good scenes of the aftermath of the minibus crash. And pretty good cliffhanger too - literally!

I enjoyed the bus stuff. Would someone who is depressed just scuttle away like Steve did?

Isn't the bloke who'd been seeing/dating Michelle (that looks like the singer in Radiohead) in Emmerdale before too? He sure seems familiar.

He has been in Emmerdale, (playing Ruby's ex) also Hollyoaks and Casualty. Looks like Steve will finally get the help he needs. Another golden opportunity lost by TPTB, another good way they could have got shut of Toxic.

Looks like it's more hopeful for Sinead. Seems like creepy Callum is back again. This SL around him is where I zone out. It isn't looking very hopeful with Anna and Gary. Gary is like the kiss of death to anything and anybody IMO

The Gavin/Andrew stuff with Michael was quite good, a new idea, but it's getting boring now, especially with Steph playing the drama queen. Steph is a good character, but she doesn't work in this set up. And why did they re-furb the Bistro? Must have cost thousands, and they have more staff than customers. And Nick's permanant irreparable brain damage has improved recently. It's this sort of lack of attention to detail that loses viewers ...

The refurbishments in the bistro are gross. I'd end up with a stinking headache eating there. Give me a hotpot in the Rovers any day. Looks like thick as a brick Katie is getting close to manky teeth Callum. I have a horrible feeling that he isn't going away Loved the Norris and Maddie stuff. I have to say that Maddie is becoming one of my favourites.

Poor Faye. Imagine having to tell madman Owen her news... Audrey sounded awful tonight - she sounds like she's got what I've got: the worse cold I've had in years, now into the third week and still suffering Quite good dialogue between Sophie, Mary and Julie, but somewhat spoilt by Dev's shouting and overacting. I hope he stays in India a long time.
