Last nights episodes were good. Are the Corrie writers considering a romance between Gail and Jerry?? Written properly it could work, and Jerry could be a calming influence on David. But at the moment I didn`t see any spark that I could see with Eileen and Jerry. If Tony hurts one hair on Roys head I`ll borrow hubbys steel toe capped boots and kick him so hard in the gooleys he`ll end up with 3 Adams apples. ;D ;D

Have looked everywhere for a duck pattern but proved unsuccesful. So I might have a stab at designing it myself.

Well done to Corrie for acknowledging that it was St George's Day. Which is more than the other soaps did. I especially liked Jerry's St George kebabs. ;D

Emmerdale mentioned it, plus there were some St Georges flags in the pub (or the cafe). But not to the extent that Corrie did - so well done Corrie.

EE couldn't could it? It wasn't on. But they often mention things the others don't.
Anyone read the comments today on Teletext about the hygiene in Roy's Rolls?

What did they say about Roys Rolls Pats?

Someone said it doesn't meet standards with Roy's cardie and Becky not washing her hands after a smoke and all businesses need a certificate or something.

Most food service places make people wear a different outfit/uniform, so you don't walk in off the street and start dishing up food with all the grime of the outdoors dropping into the food. Lots of places wear something to stop stray hairs falling into the food, like a hairnet. Ashley wears one of those natty little mesh trilbies, I think.

The old cafe in Rosamund Street was bad for that too although Gail did sometime have her hair tied back and they did wear an overall.

Last nights Corrie were decent enough episodes IMO with several different storylines running. The main storyline with Paul confessing to the police was very well done I thought. I am wondering if he really did confess though, we only have his word for it he was on the phone to the police. We never actually saw him at the police station. I particularly liked the scenes with Jack when he said that Paul is definately Terry's son, and also some of the comments about Vera earlier on in the episode were very amusing and slightly moving now Vera is no longer with us. Its nice to see that the comedy with the Duckworths can continue with Jacks comments about Vera's cooking etc, you could imagine what her response would be. ;D Also the chat between Deirdre/Gail was good as was Gail/Audrey visiting David in prison. The Carla/Liam stuff was reasonably good, cant help feeling we have been here before though with the scenes in the hotel earlier this year. He behaved himself and slept on the sofa though but you can bet Maria will have something to say when she finds out he stayed at Carla's flat and wont believe him when he says he slept on the sofa.

it was good to see the chat between Gail and Deirdre for all the years they have been oin the show they have never really had many scenes together
I think Paul must have been to the police or he wouldn't have told Jack I don't think
Good scenes with Becky and Jason...they make a great couple
all in all 2 good episodes

They havent Nick. There was one episode on the 70s box set where Deirdre and Gail were chatting and it was just after Gail has been cited in a divorce case. I remember thinking when watching it how they hardly ever get scenes together.

There was a scene between Gail and Deirdre in circu 1977 where Gail was working at the boutique (the Western Front?) when Deirdre came in to buy some sort of maternity outfit and her and Gail were chatting like old friends then. And while I was watching it I thought to myself that it`s a shame that Gail and Deidre weren`t in many scenes together over the years.

It was before Tracy love was born so 1976. The same episode that Reet sang "Hey Big Spender" to Lump

How come no one's noticed Emily looking younger than Gail at her party? I found the Audrey and Reet stuff daft. Can't talk in the salon but can in the caff? Like no one will overhear, especially as they were the only customers (!) And why should Audrey tell her? None of her business. Has Reet told her things about her past she'd rather forget about? I doubt it. I was thinking while watching that there was a newspaper article saying last year Reet would meet up with an old flame and it's turned out to be Audrey. LOL! High time Sue Nicholls had a storyline again even though it will include Wail. I may have a look at it to see how it pans out because Sue can carry it off. Patsy

Probabaly because Emily has hardly been in it. LOL! I mean thats the only episode she has done since February I think. Even Betty has done more. Yeah Sue is a fantastic actress the best out of everyone in the show at replying to fan mail!

Something else. Botoxed Liz and Vermin's cruise. Why was Liz saying she'd heard you put on pounds when she's supposed to have done a cruise (with Bev) when she was first seeing him? I remember because they said Plymouth and no cruise begins or ends there. Only ferry crossings. There's also no first class and performers certainly don't go in higher grades than the rest of us. They have their accommodation paid for but don't get paid. Amy and I met part of a dance troupe on the tequila excursion and the mother (who was in the adults trouple while two of her daughters were in the kids one) told us how they got the gig.
Sue is great in everything she's been in. Odd to see all those grey hairs now. I still think of her (and I reckon I always will) as Nadia Popov.

You would have thought Audrey would have had more sense than discuss her private business with Reet in the caff after the incident with Becky overhearing the abortion chat and getting the wrong end of the stick...how soon they forget
