That's the fog horn off to Hollyweird - I mean Milton Keynes. How long until she's back?
Phil and Marcus Christie should have just snogged. You know they wanted to!

Awww. Pearly would have loved the pic of Bradders on Stacey's phone tonight. Poor Windmill Girl has lost the few things she had left of him in the fire.
Alfie's an idiot. Yes he started the fire but Mo's dodgy hairsprays from Fat Elvis nearly killed Kat.
Love Stan. He can be so nasty but also hilariously deadpan.

Nick Cotton is classic. Oops, that should be Reg Cox. "Why are you back, Nick? What's the real reason?" "Resurrection. Thought you'd like it".
LOL! Nick is such a panto villain but I just loved all these scenes tonight. But will Dot regret her decision when she chose Charlie and said Nick must stay dead? Nick probably won't give up that easily.

Christmas week begins with a lovely little scene where Linda admits to Stacey that Dean raped her. It's writing like that which makes me glad EE is back on track.

Lauren is acting too guilty so she didn't kill Loosey. Jane is more than willing to cover things up so she didn't either.
So poor old Mick had the "best Christmas eva" turned into the worsest by not only finding out Dean raped Linda and the baby could be his but he was smashing his bruvvers face in! Can't wait until tomorrow but poor Stan.

Last ep of 2014 and what a year it's been. Definitely a vast improvment on 18 months ago. Even my dad's been watching it over the past couple of weeks, mainly because it's on as I do Barbara's diabetic dinner for 8pm, but he didn't look at his phone or go out of the room. It's still not 100% unmissable but it's getting there. I liked the Brookside touch by listing everyone who brought you the series through the year and also the added touch of dedicating it to those named who died this year.
Roll on 2015!

Bloody hell! What a start to 2015 in the Square. We still don't know who, if anyone will die, but Ronnie needing CPR after the car crash, being pronounced dead, baby born by C-section then coming alive again wasn't expected. I can see why DTC said this would be the Nick story to end all Nick stories. It's bound to come out he cut the brakes since Mrs Doyle knows. Meanwhile Emma will obviously forget whodunit or be in a coma until after the reveal. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Goodbye Nick Cotton! He was so horrible to Dot but at least she saw the light. She'll obviously blame her self for buying the drugs and not calling an ambulance.
No idea why Denise is so bitter about Ian and Jane. She was going to leave Ian before Lucy died and ended up stuck there.

It's here. #EELive begins with a live scene at the beginning and end. Nice Bradders got a mention by Stacey to Max even though no one said his name. Abi and Max seem to be ruled out as suspects unless it's a double bluff. What is baldy so desperate to tell Ian that it involved Pygmy coming with him?

And the first goof goes to..... Jo Joyner for asking Jane, "How's Adam?" PMSL! More Bradders mentions inc how Max persuaded him not to have kids. Peter accusing Ian and Jane must rule them all out now but there's still the phone and purse Jane hid under the floorboard.

He does, Nick. He did too when he returned for a couple of eps after Lucy died.

Loved both tonight's eps. I had to explain parts to my dad, esp during the flashback. He gave up a few years ago but because Barb has her cooked dinner and insulin around EE time, has been slowly drawn back in since December.
It was pretty obvious since Jane's latest return she was involved. It was always assumed she fled originally before the funeral due to shagging Ian and feeling guilty since she was with Masood. But since she came back again towards the end of last year she was too quick to offer Lauren an alibi and not want Lucy's phone and purse handed to the police, lying about getting rid of them when they're just under the floorboard. It now looks like it was her Emma met in the park. Since she adopted Bobby and has been his mother most of his life, it makes sense she'd protect him. They were clever having Bobby in recorded scenes. It made people think as the reveal was live it couldn't be him. Can't wait for the live aftermath!!!
And the rest. The other biggie was the return of Kaffy pleading with Phil to let her come back. Well according to the Beeb she will be later in the year. An original returns 10 years after Dirty Den died.
So glad June Brown had a live scene. Amazing for 88!

They have a new Mitchell. That was the best bit. Mine too pats. Wonder if Paul Robinson really did shave his hair?I loved how Naomi spoofed Kat, and Paige saying Yes I am, and then Lauren looking confused. LOL very clever. I thought that Sheila did a pretty good imitation of Peggy Mitchell too. I really love it when soaps congratulate other soaps in their flagship years.

Ok so I haven't watched any of this but I can't avoid the online gossip. Kaffy is back from the dead? How many times can they pull this crap? I'm even slightly tempted to watch it now on iplayer to see what all the fuss is about.

I'm even slightly tempted to watch it now on iplayer to see what all the fuss is about. She is indeed. Even I was thinking it on Monday due to the dialogue between Baldy, Billy and Peggy. We won't get the full story for a while though because she won't be back properly until later in the year. Clever of them to film on location to keep it secret. Like Den, we never saw the death, plus she was already buried by the time Ian got out there so they can get away with it. I think if it were Cindy it would be ridiculous. Kaffy had one scene about 50 mins in.

My God that was powerful stuff. I was so glad they lightened the mood with the whiz-bangs because I was about to blub myself. The last time I did was when Carol and David split again. Ben Hardy's last day (and Timothy West) but they both leave later. Tim will be missed. Ben won't. Good actor, and he did well in the live stuff this week, but too bleedin posh. In other news, Dean's vanished but I don't think Mick killed him. There's got to be the resolution to this rape storyline yet. LOVED the Julia + Tony near the end of the ep. Brilliant. Can't wait for next week.
