Not neccasarily for the 50th Anniversary, but I would like to see Debbie Webster come back. She was a terrific character, and scenes with Sally, Kevin, Bill and the girls would be great in my opinion. jez....did you see in Bill Podores autobiography about how Bill was furious in bringing in a new family only to have Peter Armatige leave and take Debbie with him within a year?

LOL! I wondered where these sprung from. It is fun though to read back from time to time and see what we talked about.

Sarah Pratt is a bit of a surprise since he was what David is now - crap and overexposed! Nick??? Want all that wood rubbing up against Prawn? That the ep - fire! Well it is winter and everyone needs to keep warm. LOL! Andy should come back and Archie was great.
LOL Nick!
Karen and Curly are good choices, Stix. Curly could come and visit Emily.

Id like to see;
Mavis Wilton Hilda Ogden Eddie Yeats Jenny Bradley Sarah Platt
return for the 50th - I think most of those are unlikely apart from Sarah.
I would obviously like Liam to return but as you said Stix thats impossible - unless Liam has an identical twin brother - i wrote a story about that lol!

I hope Sharon Gaskill doesn`t make an appearence. I don`t think Reet will be very glad to see her would she? Does anyone think Tracey Barlow will be back by December 2010? I wouldn`t mind if she came back as long as it was Dawn Acton reprising her role ;D

I dont think she would be pleased to see Jenny either, Wendy!
Not sure about Tracey, but if she does return it will prob be played by Kate Ford.

My wish list for returning characters for Corries 50th.......
Hilda Ogden Harry Flagg (he and Eileen would make the perfect couple) Bet Gilroy (as long as Peter Whalley wrote for her character) Raquel Watts Alec Gilroy Eddie Yeats Dennis Tanner Linda Tanner Curly Watts Reg Holdsworth Gena Seddan (Sallys sister) Debbie Webster
That`s all I can think of for now

Isn't it funny how KF was THE latest overhyped thing but now she's basically forgotten? I doubt she'll be back. DL's not running the show any more so even if they don't have Dawn, they'll go with someone who can act.
Be nice to see Hilda and Eddie. I know Geoff Hughes told me at the convention it's crap, never say never where cash is concerned. After all, within months of Bruno Langley telling Paul and me he won't go back, he did.

I read somewhere that Sarah Lancashire has said she definately isnt returning fro the 50th.
Geoff Hughes seems to have got the same opinion about current Corrie as Thelma and Jean then.
Id love Dennis and Linda to return as well - 2 of the few original characters where the original actors and/or characters are still alive (apart from our Kenneth of course). Its been 1968 since Dennis last appeared I think but he's be around the same age as Ken.

It will probably revolve around Ken anyway. Better not be a stupid storyline like the save the cobbles.

Would it be too much to ask if the above characters mentioned would do a sort of reunion type show or at least appear on a special 50th year programme to talk about their characters? After all Corrie made them famous in the first place, and Corries 50th year is quite the milestone isn`t it. I agree with them that Corrie isn`t what it was when Jean , Geoffrey, Thelma, Sarah et al were in Corrie, but surely that`s a huge compliment to them that they are still being remembered after all these years? When Corrie first started, my Mother was the same age as what my youngest son will be by Dec 9th 2010. And me and hubby will be celebrating our 22nd Wedding anniversary on that day. Scary really innit

I still look on characters like Liz and Steve McDonald as relative newcomers..but they have been there 20 years this year..as long as Ena Sharples was in the show and 4 years longer than Minnie Caldwell

It is bound to involve Ken somehow with him being the only original.
Me too - any character that arrived after I started watching in the late 1980s tp me is new - I remember when the McDonalds arrived. Also with the amount of episodes now compaired to the 60s/70s the likes of Steve and Liz have prob been in loads more eps/scenes than Ena and Minnie.

I can't believe how fast this 50th is coming!
I'd love to see Curly, Karen, Spider, Archie and Terry back. A reunion show would be great Wendy.
Patsy- DL is back at Corrie working on some special things. He's been back a few months now.

You mean Daran Little Deb? He`s not the only Corrie archivist out there. As a matter of fact there are a load of Canadian and British Corrie fans who could give Daran a run for his money in the trivia department. They`d all beat him in a Corrie pub quiz that`s for sure! ;D
