I have thought of a good way to celebrate Corrie's 50th birthday..... Ken could decide to organize Bessie St school reunion...you could bring back Dennis & Linda Tanner,Christine Hardman,Billy & Joan Walker and various characters who would have gone to Bessie St Over the years well I think it's a good idea

Exactly! Let's have the likes of Miss Hell, Prawn Gully, Jack P in it to see who really CAN act as well. I'd deffo watch that. ;D

A brilliant idea Nick. And with those new block of flats almost built, there ought to be a community centre there too. Emily could organise some OAP meetings there. Pats...I live in hope that Prawn would have left by the 50th. ;D

You could also have guest appearances by Davy Jones from the Monkees who played Ena's grandson Colin and Peter Noone from Hermans hermits who played Len Fairclough's son Stanley..I would imagine they went to Bessie st School

This is a good idea, Nick - better than the last school reunion storyline which inflicted Clifford on us, as Roy's old schoolmate.

Good idea Nick, although I think the actress who played Christine Hardman is sadly no longer with us.

The cobbles thing was a bit corny so we need a decent storyline this time. I really hope they'll do something really special for the 50th. Maybe Tony Warren could write it!

I suppose they could recast Christine as she hasn't been seen for 40 years or so

Yeah that would be good if Tony could write the episode.

Excellent idea Pats, but I`m guessing they`ll use DL instead Noddy Holder was in the 40th year special episode, I wonder who will be in the 50th? Please don`t let it be Amy whore Winehouse. She might not even be alive by then the way she`s going

God knows why Noddy Holder was in it..he's not even from Manchester lol

I just thought of another great storyline. By around October 2010, Kent could dabble in local politics and who else could be his political rival but Susan Cunningham his first girlfriend we saw on day one of Corrie!

Oh no. Not Amy Whinebag! I hope there'll be no gimmicks this time. That was just embarrassing. CG can I be his campaign manager? Patsy

Of course you can Pats.....as long as I`m 6 feet under by then of course. Because that`s the only way you`ll get past me to be first in line to be Kens campaign manager ;D

It would be good for Corrie to get back as many original characters as they can for the 40th although sadly the majority of the are dead now. I think apart from Ken only Esther, Linda, Dennis and Susan Cunningham would still be alive? Sadly the actors who played the others are dead, or in the case of David Barlow the character is dead but the actor still alive.

I would love to see Christine Hardman again...is the actress who played her still alive? Characters I`d like to see from the 70`s would be Maggie Clegg, Tricia Hopkins, Norma Ford, and Suzie Birchall. Maggie could visit her sister Betty, Tricia and Suzie could visit Gail, and Norma couldvisit Ken as I remember watching an episode where she had a major crush on our Kenneth ;D
