That article has ticked me right off. Why can`t the Corrie PTB allow EE to revell in their glory for a while without the "anything they can do we can do better" nonsence. Show some class please Corrie or I might just not bother watching anymore.

Diederick Santer has always said this was all planned a year ago. What to do for Xmas and the anniversary then they decided to tie them together. IF that article's true it shows how pathetic they are at Granada. Not only having to go one better with storyline but also an extra live episode! Both will probably be a pile of cack. This with Archie Mitchell has been a slow burner since he was appeared. We know who dun it now but there's still plenty to come. Corrie have dire storylines and so many dull characters. They had their chance 10 years ago. Instead the big thing was saving the bloody cobbles.

It is a great idea I would love to see the old characters if only for an episode or 2

Yeah Pats. And Corrie wanted to bring in the 'big guns' to mark Corries 40th. And what did they get? Noddy Holder!! lol Was Prince Charles in that episode too?

A agree, Sooty. Jean Alexander and Thelma Barlow always said they'd never go back. Can't really see them doing it for live eps.
Wend, they did but he was pre-recorded. EE was fantastic. I watched the repeat yesterday and it was just as gripping as Friday even though I knew what was coming.

I have a feeling Tony Gordon will be featured in Corries 50th. I hope it won`t be all doom and gloom though. I`m sure whatever they do won`t be able to top EE`s 25th. Its strange to think the year EE debuted, it was Corries 25th. Where have the years gone??

I have a feeling KF will be and it will be written by DL. I certainly won't be watching!
I honestly thought EE wouldn't last a year. I gave up after 10 mins when it started. It's everything to be Corrie lost, in particular caring about the characters. Like Emmerdale, the older ones have plenty to do and aren't ignored. Like Emmerdale, they aren't pigeon-holed to have most or all scenes with the same ones. That makes the difference.

Thanks so much PQ. I`ve played it 3 times today already lol. I didn`t realise that Eilleen Grimshaw once slapped Janice Battersby. Can anyone recall when and why she did it. It was a brilliant punch...it almost rivals Sally punch to Janice. But no one can ever beat Sallys massive slap to Natalie Horrocks. That was fantastic!!!!

I think Eileen and Janice came to blows over Dennis Stringer
That video is brilliantly put together

Thanks Nick. Of course Dennis Stringer!!! I loved Dennis and was gutted when he took up with Janice.
I`m a huge fan of ELO, and have been since my teens, so I was thrilled to have one of my faves at the last montage. Wasn`t it a beautiful touch to have Ken look over at the pigeons flying over at the end. It was very fitting.
